I've been watching them a bit. They're playing with the desperation of a team that realizes its window is shutting.

The only way I see this pick not being 27th - 30th is if Paul gets hurt for an extended period. Losing Jordan would hurt second most. They're fine without Blake.

I'm going to limit my following of prospects for the Raptors to small forwards(due to positional need) and guys with a high PER. IBM Watson seems to be making our picks now and the emphasis on production is very clear. For a raw and unproven guy to be added to the payroll, they'd have to blow Masai and Weltman away.

Anunoby had a nice first game. 13 points on 3-7 3 point attempts, 4-4 at the line. 3 blocks, 1 steal and 3 rebounds.

He's not going to be available in our range, so if Masai likes him, which he probably does, he'd have to make a trade.

Another guy to watch: Jaylen Johnson from Louisville. Junior, small forward with that typical lanky look. Had a huge first game to start the year with 19 points, 14 rebounds, 3 blocks and 1 for 1 from 3. Struggles a lot at the free throw line.

There are a few good SFs in our range:

Miles Bridges - f
Jason Blossomgame - s
VJ Beachem - s
Terry Larrier - so

Another guy I was unaware of who is currently a late second round pick on Draftexpress, but could move up:

Vince Edwards - Junior, SF, 6'8, 7 foot wingspan.

Last year: 11.3 pts, 5.4 rebounds, .407 from 3.

1st game this year: 19 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists , 3-5 from 3.

Not a star, but looks like an NBA player which is all we'll be looking for, whether for depth or just an asset.

Blossomgame is the guy I think we'll most likely end up with. Strong build for a wing, decent athlete and has a perimeter shot.

I think we should try and move our pick instead of the clippers one. Its likely that the clippers never stay healthy so their team record may not be so high when its all said and done. Id personally try and move our pick for a small forward who is a career journey man that can play his role anywheres (i.e barnes, jeff green, courtney lee type player) for a late first rounder + carroll.

Big 3+D SF and a stretch 4 would be the perfect draft

Just give it a game or two. They play us and they will hurt their record.

I would package both these picks with Carrolle for an expiring...

I will keep an eye Vince Edwards this year thanks.

The way that Bridges has looked so far in pre season and their first game, I highly doubt he'll be in our range. I can see him going in the lottery now. It would be amazing if we could package our picks and trade up for him.

He may not rise as high as his play would suggest he should. He has average height(6'6) and length(6'8) which will hurt him a little. Measurements aren't everything, but they do play a factor.

Can we stop bringing up trading for (expiring). That doesn't help us in the least bit all anymore. We are no near having sufficient cap room with or without carroll to be players. If we trade caroll + picks we would be looking for an upgrade. Every team has one of these players/contracts tho and atleast he's 3+d which what we really need anyway.

Carroll has been injured and bad, so I understand the desire to trade him. I'm all for it. But throwing away picks just to get out of his contract when we won't be making any major free agent signing anyway is just a horrible use of assets.

Maybe if the Celtics had their pick, but since we do they're probably going to finish with the best record.

These two picks should be used to acquire a star. We don't have room for rookies.
