I'm not for KP at the 5 full time, but we need to make it happen a significant portion of the time. Dubin said in today's podcast that he's averaging less than 6 MPG at C going into tonight's game. Should be at least 20 minutes.

Even though it's true that KP will have more difficulty guarding stronger, heavier Centers, it's also true that he can use his shooting ability to draw them away from the paint and make life easier for penetrating guards, like Rose.

I can't believe you guys are taking credit away from Justin Holiday, who made all the difference. It wasn't the benching of Noah that was the x factor, it was the hounding defense of Holiday that made all the difference. The way he clamped down on Barnes was magnificent. The Mavs are small and not a physical team, this was a great adjustment from Hornacek. Carmelo abused Mathews in the 2nd half. Our guard play was awful tonight, Rose, Jennings and Courtney Lee all had bad nights.

Porzingis was aggressive and I loved the 6 free throws, been wanting him to earn more trips to the line. I liked how active he was in crashing boards, need more of that from him.

I also liked Maurice NDour. He is an active defender and knows how to make quick rotations and close outs.

But man Justin Holiday was awesome

The defensive quickness is entirely transformed by going small. Kp can hang around the paint, and Melo doesn't have to chase nimble 3's around the perimeter.
