It wasn't the benching of Noah that was the x factor, it was the hounding defense of Holiday that made all the difference. The way he clamped down on Barnes was magnificent. The Mavs are small and not a physical team, this was a great adjustment from Hornacek. Carmelo abused Mathews in the 2nd half. Our guard play was awful tonight, Rose, Jennings and Courtney Lee all had bad nights.
Porzingis was aggressive and I loved the 6 free throws, been wanting him to earn more trips to the line. I liked how active he was in crashing boards, need more of that from him.
I also liked Maurice NDour. He is an active defender and knows how to make quick rotations and close outs.
But man Justin Holiday was awesome
Ugly first half but I liked the way we came together in the 2nd half and got a much needed win
You really don't think that coincided with benching Noah? Why do you think Hornacek did it? Why do you think Melo feasted, both shooting and passing the ball after that happened? Why do you think Justin Holiday was wide open on those shots?

6-6 PG, already averaging 8 rebounds a night. Averaged a triple double in highschool too. Modern day Jason Kidd.
We'd have to be real, real bad to get him...

Part of the problem is who we have that has size.
It's the fact that it's Joakim that's being played that's a problem.
He just flat out sucks as a basketball player. It's almost like playing 4-on-5 on both offense AND defense.

You'd so but there's so many PGs in this draft we'll have a legit shot even late in the lotto. That is unless he kills it at UCLA and so far he's ight.

16-8.5-8 on 83% TS in his first two games... that's bananas.

In your guys' dreams because we're going to the 2nd round

He will break down and then you'll all day Jeff ran him into the ground
What would you propose then? That we continue to have him run around chasing 4s?
