Frankly KP looked better on O too.

Holiday looks like he could be a really valuable complement like a James Posey. Not just a slight shooter -- hard-nosed and heads-up too.

I still think it has been a good year for picking up a handful of players that can continue to grow and develop. Holiday is not a rookie kid, but I'd include him with Willy and Baker as players I believe in long-term who can grow as players. That's three guys.

And while Lee is not a player with upside he was also a very solid pickup. That makes four new guys I'd invest in. If you can improve by 3-4 players a year like that then in three years the roster can become pretty stable.

EDIT: And we may still see Randle soon. Can't sleep on him. Somebody from this roster can easily be cut to accommodate Randle.

I think it took a lot of guts for Hornacek to take out a guy we just signed to a 4 year, $72 million deal for a guy making the minimum (Holiday) and a rookie (Hernangomez). I definitely don't think we should give up on Joakim, but it is great to see that coach is willing to put our best 5 out there instead of succumbing to potential egos.

I think playing Holiday over Noah isn't as much of an indictment on Noah, as it is praise on Holiday. Dude has been an awesome role player for us so far and he came up big tonight, so he was rewarded with starting the 2nd half and more playing time. IMO he is having a bigger impact for us this year (so far) than Lance did last year. And we know Lance's play last year got him $27 mil, so that should say how much of a steal Holiday has been for us.

I know not to overreact to a win against a team that probably won't make the playoffs in the west without their starting PG and PF (especially since one of them is Dirk), but it's definitely encouraging and could help us bring some momentum into our game against Detroit.

Noah still might be in the starting group to preserve KP but diminish his minutes and go small more often with KP at the 5 whenever the matchup permits it.

Imagine the small line up with a PG that can actually defend and hit a 3pt consistently.

Holiday
Lee
Baker

There's a nice balance of defense and offense in that group, would love to see it.

I agree, more minutes for Holiday and Willy and less minutes for Noah. If Holiday continues to play well, Noah and Lee would make a nice trade package.

I wanted Phil to go after Al Horford to team with Holiday, knowing Holiday is not making much this season. Let's not forget that Noah was coming off the bench when Phil signed him. :roll:
