the way Boston is playing we might end up with a lotto pick after all. Also a decent 2nd rounder from them as well

2017 NBA Draft Thread

Post#46 » by 624 » Tue Nov 15, 2016 3:38 am

With next years draft being hyped up big time, and the Celtics looking like a fringe playoff team it's a good idea to keep track of their losses this season to see where we will be selecting if they swap picks with us.

Boston Celtics 2016-17 season Pick Watch Thread

The pick selection currently sits at 15. That could high enough to take a talented kid like De'Aaron Fox.

This is a depressing thread. id rather focus on what this team is doing to develop and build a foundation then worry about what the celtics are doing.

I see what you mean but to be fair, it really does effect us and our ability to fix some of our roster issues in the draft. We could get a late first role prospect or mid-lottery prospect.

There already is a draft thread with lots of videos about potential targets: Klick

And let's not focus too much on the Celtics because at the end of the day, we will still get the worse pick although it would be pretty decent to draft at least some spots earlier than expected. Most people thought the Celtics could challenge the Cavs for the No. 1 spot in the East which will be tough after an okayish start and bad luck with injuries.

I'm a regular lurker in their own pick watch thread as well and as much as i'm shaking my head about some comments, others have been very fair recently in acknowledging that our team is playing with effort and better than they thought.

Changed the thread title? Lame. Why can't we have a thread that follows something that actually impacts us. Of course this thread was made a little in jest but it is also a legit thing to follow.

That's just no fun, something Roger Goodell would do.

Once we jump ahead of them in the standings, we can keep our pick and they can keep their pick. Everyone can just focus on their own teams

Keep this thread open. We got horse whipped last night but to be fair we aren't going to beat teams like LAC, GS, SA, CLE. But I feel confident enough when we have our full roster back up and running that we have a chance versus any other team in the league based on our offense and effort levels, rankings wise on offense and defense we're literally a middle of the pack team. Boston is 5-5 right now, we are 4-6. We can keep pace.

and **** Boston.

That wasn't the point of this thread. It was to follow what pick we will end up with this season, not the prospects. Mods changed my title/thread.

Really hope they change it back to "Boston Celtics 2016-17 season Pick Watch Thread" like I had it originally
