Your Welcome!

It was a nice day today living here in the middle of Patriot Nation and seeing so many depressed and upset faces today. Even the local sports guys were grumpy today? lol. Thanks for knocking them down a peg. Someone finally got them off their high horse.

Cockiness runs all the way back to the days of Aikman, Smith, Sanders, and Irvin days. Maybe further back then that. At least that team lived up to the "America's Team" moniker. The last twenty years.. "America's Team" who?

Although this has played well this season does not mean they earned the "America's Team" moniker by a long shot.

The only team deserving of the moniker would be the Patriots. Dallas has to get back to winning consistently. Sorry BJ, but you know it's true.

8 in a row isn't good enough for you guys? Geez, I call that winning for sure. There used to be a Rams poster in here that said we were not going anywhere either. As a matter of fact if I remember correctly, I think he said neither team would go very far, lol.

So, you acknowledge the Hawks are a threat then? Lol

If you want IHO, I believe the Cowboys and Sea Hawks are the best 2 teams in football and superior to anything the AFC has. I can't see anyone, including the Patriots beating either team.

The Patriots have consistently been contending year-in year-out for the last 15 years. 6 Superbowl's. 4 wins. How many does Dallas have over that span  ? You guys are having a good year. But, I recall a lot of 8-8, 9-7 type seasons recently from your Boys'. Along with the 4-12 record last year.

Dallas/Seattle in the NFC. I agree. New England is still the team to beat in the AFC for me. I think it comes down to New England/Denver again. Oakland's defense scares me. Not buying KC come playoff time.

New England made a mistake getting rid of Collins. they are already bitching about it up here and their defense has not looked good the past 3 weeks since the trade. Oakland, KC and Denver will be more battle tested come playoff time. New England still plays in a candy assed division. They will win their division as usual but that will be it this year. I think they fall short.

You should go back and do a little homework. 3 years ago, we were in salary cap hell with a mash unit of injuries on both sides of the ball. 2 years ago we were a call and a play away from making the NFC Championship game with still a ton of injuies as well. Last year no DEZ, no Romo, no back up and another year of a mash unit of injuries. Not excuses, just the reality of it all. It is what it is. Things are different now. No more salary cap hell, we have a couple people still out, but injuries for the first time in years is o.k., we've hit on most of our draft picks the past few year and its starting to show and Jerry has pretty much stayed out of the way for the first time in about 14 years. We've always had talent. Were not have a good year, we are having a great year!!! And I understand why you phrase things the way you do. You and your team is not ready to hand off the NFC torch to us just yet. You guys are still a great team. And we don't want you guys to just hand it off to us, we plan on taking it from you one year before we were really suppose to, lol. This wasn't expected till next year after we finish the pieces we need on defense in the upcoming draft. This is just more icing on the cake if we pull it off. Oh, by the way, How consistent were the Patriots the first 43 years they came into the league? And how consistent were your Sea Hawks before 5 years ago when you guys came into the league in 1976? Lets talk about everyone's past I say.

Oakland makes too many mistakes and shoots themselves in the foot a lot, but they've gotten away with it. I don't think they would get away with it against the Pats.

But Pats defense is a legit concern. I think Denver is the favorite in the AFC right now, despite the loss to Oakland.

Cowboys are like the Bengals to me...not buying them until they actually win and stop choking in the playoffs.

I can't argue with you although I always looked at the Chargers as the Cowboys of the AFC. Never the Bengals.

You could make this case. Pats/Denver come out of the AFC imo.

Denver has been winning too much with turnovers and their qb situation is too shaky. KC has won games with turnovers as well but QB position less shaky. They seem to get better down the stretch, and our like 17-2 in their last 19 regular season games (even though they should have lost to the Panthers and Chargers).

I still think though that it will be the Pats and Pitt. It could be Oakland's year though as well. The AFC West could go a number of ways, but Denver has looked shaky lately.

The Steelers D is just so awful for me to pick them at this point. Oakland's defense is questionable as well. The Chiefs keep digging themselves out of huge holes. Not a good indicator. Denver has to get more out of the O. But, the defense will keep them in games.

I don't know..they should have lost to the Saints, lost to the Chargers, lost by 10 to the Raiders (who needed last second 4th down conversions or going for 2 for the win against the Bucs and Saints to win)...Denver has not played particularly well against not that great of teams. With Roethlisberger the Steelers have played mostly well, and sometimes blown out people, and gave Dallas all they could handle.

Yeah but it was the same story last year with Denver...poor QB play and barely squeaking by mediocre teams. But then they beat the Pats, and then absolutely destroyed the Panthers. I learned my lesson from last year, that defense shouldn't be underestimated. They make excellent QBs look straight up silly.

So anyway, my prediction for the AFC: Pats or Broncos.

For the NFC: Seahawks or Cowboys, with Atlanta as a sleeper pick.

Romo's press conference after being name backup sounded more like a retirement speech. Classy act but it seemed kind of unnecessary.
