Can be our 6th man... Great sub for Wall

Thanks for that information. I was hoping the Wiz would go after Nando de Colo to play with Satoransky and forget about re-signing Beal, but no NBA team gave him a good offer and a major role - so he signed again in Europe. He had a few NBA runs, but he was never given the major role that he wanted. I think it's a shame - he's a helluva player - but pretty much at the end of his prime.

Fultz - with a brilliant first game with 30 points on 11/17 shooting, 7 bounds, 6 assists - has solidified my stance on him being the #1 prospect in the draft. Lonzo Ball was also phenominal, but watching highlights, I couldn't help think MCW. He's got the same kind of look to his game - apparently including the ugly jump shot. I think he's a better version of MCW - he's already a spectacular college player.

Fultz was amazing last night but other than he and Thybulle the rest of the team is just bad, If we can't get over the hump blow it up please and go after Fultz and not because his parents live 5 mins from me lol.

If not take Allen late, try to get back in the late first round and take Tyler Lydon as well, S4 who is solid on D from Syracuse

I'll watch today Gonzaga and West Virginia's games. WVM have a couple of interesting young players with one Pole (Maciej Bender) who might be able to translate to the NBA and Gonzaga is hell of a team. Jonathan Williams, Zach Collins, Rui Hachimura or Przemek Karnowski are all able to enter the draft and be selected. Since I'm pretty sure our first round pick will be a bum I'm focusing more on second round or even undrafted opportunities. There's a lot we could do but IMO we should draft center or PF. I have a feeling that a league is turning into guards/center league with a particular emphasis on 1. 3p & drive guards and 2. 3p & paint centers. In a couple of years we will have loads of shooters and big men. That's why it's important to find some good bigs to develop.

Malik Monk looked really good last night for Kentucky, 23pts and 7/11 from 3pt line. Combo guard at 6'3 200lbs

Josh Jackson also looks like the truth, I thought he was a poor man's Oubre but he looks way better than KO getting to the basket with ease. He fouled out early with some sketchy touch calls but the potential is scary for this kid.

I thought it was a lot of exaggerated hype with him but my goodness it looked a bit easy for him last night in some spurts of the game

With the #1 Pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, the Washington Wizards select...

I still think it's too much exaggerated hype - not to mention too much ego.

I'll take the 6'10.5 combo forward from Florida State over him - Jonathan Isaac. He clearly needs to get stronger and more confident, but he just turned 19. Once he adds that strength and confidence... and cuts his hair... phenom.

Also gotta LOVE the offensive game of 7 footer Lauri Markkanen from Arizona. Question is - can he play enough defense?

So far I only saw Kansas/Duke game. I was definitely impressed with Josh Jackson. MikeTheKid is right, the game looked easy in spurts for him. He's an elite level prospect. I'd have no qualms about drafting him and sliding Otto to the PF.

It would be #sowizards if we got the top pick in the draft and there's 5 guys to choose from w/no consensus.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

Fultz! Fultz! Fultz!

For the Josh Jackson guys - didn't he foul out in 19 minutes? Didn't he miss all 4 of his foul shots? No doubt he's a talent, but who knows if he's going to develop a jump shot? People who were nuts for MKG are probably the biggest Jackson fans. Imo, he's like a skinnier/weaker version of MKG with a better handle. That handle can make him elite, but he's got to get an adequate jumper. The fact that he has a lot of trouble making FT's is a warning sign. Not to mention he's a little older than most of the frosh - turning 20 in February.

So I guess we are now in a tanking mode? In a guard-heavy draft? I assume this means we are no longer seeing our future with either Wall or Beal?

Well. Have you seen Kilian Tillie and Zach Collins from Gonzaga? Tillie seems to be the biggest surprise for a heavy-loaded Zags. This team has a lot of depth but both of those kids are A-mazing. Check this video from 3x3 / 2015.

They look fun to watch - Tillie's a bouncy player and a great rebounder, but Collins has put up the outstanding numbers in their first 3 games. I really want to see him especially against good competition.

Speaking of players who have put up great numbers in the first 3 games against cupcakes, 21 year old senior PG Monter Morris is looking ready to step up to first round status - 38.4 PER with an eFG of 76%. He's not known as a prolific scorer, but maybe that's because he's never been given the chance to be in that role - starting to look like Damien Lillard. Yes, too soon, but I'm going to watch Iowa State to check out if he could be.

Damn Jackson is explosive. Kid lives above the rim. He looks a lot like Wiggins, except he's a lot more aggressive and assertive.

What the hell they feeding these kids

Wow. He is extremely skilled. He has a breathtaking array of fundamentally sound hesitation moves. His footwork is excellent too. Nobody is going to be able to stay in front of him. If he has a jumper, he'll be like a bigger Isaiah Thomas. I really like that move at 1:12. So simple, yet so effective.
