Every list of expected starters has Nelson listed as SG but if you watch them when they play together, Mudiay defers to Nelson as the PG - most of the time.

Decent first quarter - it appears the Nuggets are switching on almost every pick instead of having the guards trail over the type. I wonder how much of a difference that makes? They did hold Phoenix's scoring down ridiculously.

First home win of the season, led from start to finish. Mudiay had one of his solid stat line of 15/6/5/2 with ZERO turnovers. Chandler leads the way, one of HIS best games too.
Nice win !!

Exactly - My favorite stat was Mudiay's zero turnovers.
My least favorite was Gee getting four plus minutes and Beasley getting less than one minute.
But a nice win for sure. They should have won and while the Suns made some runs, the Nuggets turned each one back. So nice!

Finally a win at home. Chandler has probably been our best player this season (by far the most consistent), and it's not even very close.

With a small line-up (without Jokic+Nurkic) denver really improve the offensive spacing.
Good game overall, will see in tougher test.

It hasn't improved the team period.
In fact our defensive efficiency (it sat at around #10-12) has fell off a cliff since the lineup change while the offensive efficiency has more and less been the same.
So yeah, we are choosing to keep Faried happy over using a better lineup and development. I don't know if anyone read the latest article about Faried returning to the starting lineup but I am really disappointed by his comments. The veterans that complain about minutes are a bane and we have two of them in the starting lineup.

I doubt it has ANYTHING to do with keeping Faried happy, Malone wants to/needs to win ! Faried has been great on the
glass. If nothing else, his trade value is increasing and he's helping us win a game or two.
As a starter he's upped his production from 7.4ppg/8rebs to 15.4ppg/12.3rebs which brings him to a lot of teams attention.

So true. I've seen a couple of reports saying is now a great defender and that he has objected to everyone saying he wasn't a great defender because in college he was known for his defense.
With his athleticism, if this is not an aberration, he becomes very valuable to the Nuggets and in trade. (Makes him harder to trade though, if he keeps this up.) Maybe he just needed the motivation of not starting. It appears that deeply offended him and he did not keep that quite among his teammates and coaches.
