The thing is, many of the teams that got those top 8 picks are playing their guys a lot...even teams well in the hunt drafting later are playing rookies serious minutes in their rotation, like Toronto playing two a good deal. I don't understand why a team like us is playing Barbosa, Tucker, etc all these minutes. Even Big Sauce. I mean WTF is he doing? Chriss and Bender have 6 minutes combined. Tucker and Barbosa have 22 combined.

It's not like it's a tight game either. Down by 16.

Suns seems to be competitive based on effort and energy rather than tactics and execution.

This game... 3 or so players came to play.

Don't shortchange him. 7.7%.

Only two guys shooting over 40% (or 30% for that matter). Dudley and Bender. 50% and 43%. LB at exactly 30%

I get it, I think they still have delusions of playoffs in our front office and coaching staff. We may be looking for trades for PJ.
Bender and chriss need more time, its embarrassing how little we're playing them when we don't have talent up front.

Refs are watching booker now after the tech and are going to make an example not to complain the rest of the game.

Guys, we're rebuilding. We're bad. We're playing vets over young players. Wtf is going on?

I mean, last year, even through like 60 games, McD would say...."hey, at one time, we were 7-5 and now we are only 8 games out of the playoffs" but this year our best record has been 2-4 (unless you count 0-1).

At one time we were 0-0 and we're currently only less than double-digits games from being a playoff team.

I understand what you are saying, but Chriss plays TERRIBLE basketball out there. Seriously, he can put some points on breaking plays or finishing but he just doesn't understand the game and his defense is just fouling his man. If you put him a ton of minutes out there he can be embarrassed.

Bender looks better, but he doesn't have any strength so he can't defend post players. Jokic was eating him alive. Hopefully he plays more minutes because he knows how to play the game the right way.

Makes no sense to play the vets over the young guys when there is 0% chance of us making the playoffs.

This place is like an echo chamber of rookie circle jerking sometimes lol. Neither of them deserve to be on the court right now, Bender was getting dominated by Jokic inside and Chriss was getting noticeably outworked by Faried. If you can't compete, then you shouldn't play. Why reward mediocrity by flooding them with minutes?

Yup. All so we can run our bench offense through PJ Tucker post ups. With our pace you would think we would be exciting to watch, but with Watson insisting on the following lineup off the bench:

Knight
Barbosa
Tucker
Dudley
Len

I get nausea. Particularly when you then post up PJ Tucker or let him go one on one. He can't dribble. Or spread the floor. His only literal value on offense is rebounding. Giving him the ball removes that as opposed to running it through somebody else.

There is 0 excuse for not playing Bender. He's a monster defender and one of our few 3 point shooter, combined with being a willing and high IQ offensive role player. Alan Williams is getting minutes over him in this game.
