So what's Webb's excuse for walking 89 more batters in 220 less innings?

going into the all star break the rangers haven't lost a series since pittsburgh in early june and we've gone 15-8 since all while blalock, kinsler and tex have been hurt.

we still suck record wise but its been alot more enjoyable watching this team.

and marlon byrd > ben sheets and brandon webb

You know you want to trade us Otsuka for Gwynn.

And Marlon Byrd? LAWL I'll give him credit his current BA is only .012 below his career SLG%.

Anyways how's the pitching down there in Texas?

to be honest the reason we're winning is b/c our starting pitching has been great and our bullpen is better than yours too probably a top 10 and maybe top 5 bullpen.

and im just jokin about the byrd thing but everytime i think he'll cool off he keeps producing.

and that trade for gwynn is bull and id never consider it not to mention aki's value is so much higher. plus he's under a teams control for at least next year and maybe through the '09 season.

i got to speak to will carroll of baseball prospectus and our gm jon daniels friday in a Q&A. that was fun.

Yeah well our starting pitching has blown for the past couple months other than Sheets so I kind of know how you feel. I'm going to be so pissed if that Suppan contract prevents us from signing Sheets.

You should read the Gwynn/Otsuka thread. Good stuff on how some wouldn't trade Gwynn for Otsuka.

See that's what I've been trying to say. And even if he does turn into a major leaguer he's blocked in the outfield anyway so why not get value for him while he's still a hot name around the league?

Anyways you want Brian Shouse back? Or Kevin Mench? Just take them we won't even ask for anything back.

i dont think our teams would be that great a match for trades right now, you arent giving up any GOOD young hitters and yovani isnt for sale, who are some good prospects you think melvin might part with?

and i dont believe for a second Jon Daniels considered accepting that trade.

I could see him parting with Will Inman. He hasn't pitched well since going to AA but his sister (who posts on brewerfan.net) says he has mono. Don't know if that's true but he's dominated every level until he went to AA.

Upton is going to run this league in a couple of years. Did anyone see his BOMB in the Future's game yesterday? Then the US coach takes him out the next inning,

The only source of offense they had, and they yank him.

NL wins 4-3.

Prince Fielder hits a grand slam in the 1st inning and eats a grand slam as he's running around the bases.

Exactly..he just got down striking out Ellsbury with some cheddahhh, first pitch, he threw that 96 mph fball and Upton sent that trash across the bay.

Get used to it.
