The Spurs defense is pretty good but the Kings are taking decent shots. Someone needs to get hot.

See, at least Collison, Temple, and Afflalo out there together can make it tough for teams to score. They need to see a lot more court time together.

Yeah, Collison, Temple, Afflao, and Barnes is a good defensive unit. The trick seems to be that trio of Collison, Temple, and Afflalo. They gave up a few shots because of a gamble or two but that is the only thing yet seen on this roster capable of doing anything on the defensive end perimeter wise.

As tyguy pointed out Temple is probably our best perimeter defender.

Grant and Jerry having a hard time with Spurs Bertans name haha
Celtics fan.
We also face the Kings twice in the near future. I think it's time Yabu pays back some of that free money he's been given his entire career and bounces Fox for a nice 2 week ankle sprain.

Willie is growing as a finesse finisher around the rim. That's good to see.

At least, they fought until the very end.

That is all I ask from them.

Yes, bravo, you beat those Spurs rookies into submission!! Pop was surely scared.

Cousins was doing his best to lead by example out there. He was hustling up and down more in the last few minutes than the first quarter. Now lets see it when it matters Cuz.

The rotations need to be cleaned up. This team plays the best with collison and temple on the floor. The koufos cousins starting lineup is putting us in a hole every single game it seems like.

I am becoming a big fan of temple, and him collison and afflalo have good chemistry together. I really like what Joerger has brought to the team but he needs to change and clean up the rotations. At times we look like a playoff team, and other times we look lost, and it seems mainly due to the combinations on the floor

The Koufos Cousins duo last night was a science awful ORTG 72 and an unbelievably horrible DRTG 130 for a **** NETRTG -58 in 12 minutes. The Kings are much, much better playing smaller around Cousins with at least three wings.

Cousins last night on the floor without either Kosta or Willie went ORTG 138 and DRTG 98 for a NETRTG +40!!!!! in 23 minutes.

We didn't play our best trio together for a single minute of action (Temple, cousins, gay) which also meant we didn't play our best lineup a single minute (Afflalo, Gay, Temple, Barnes, Cousins). That lineup is +48.5 per/100 possessions. The cousins, temple duo was +15 in 11 minutes last night.

The rotations are without a doubt killing this team at the moment. Garrett Temple needs to be seeing more minutes and Cousins needs to not be placed next to another big on the floor as much as possible.

i hope dave joerger is fine with coaching a rebuilding team, his rotations could be one of the reasons this team decides to hit the reset button.. i still like him as our coach though, its just unfortunate that we needed wins early for the team to make the necessary decisions about now/future.

His insistence on playing two bigs together is killing the team. The Cousins Koufos pairing is -7 in 180 minutes. The Cousins Willie pairing isn't any better. Meanwhile the team is steamrolling when you surround Cousins with wings.

In 206 minutes without either Kosta or Willie on the floor the team is +7 with cousins on the floor.

Yeah, ever since I saw the Cousins/KK front-court all the way back in pre-season and his continual insistence of using that duo at the same time, I knew we were in deep doo-doo.

if he watched the kings last year he would've already got the idea that that pairing is terrible..

As said above that duo's failings go back to the start of last season and the gross thing is Joerger is making some of the same mistakes Karl did when he first started. Playing guys one game, then not for another two games. Sitting the biggest need guys, or not playing them with Cuz. I'm starting to wonder, could it be Vlade who is insisting on Koufos and Cuz playing together? The truth is they hamper eachother because when Koufos has played without Cuz, he's looked a lot better himself. His interior defensive presence starts to reappear when both bigs are having to cover for eachother so much.

The solution is simple.

Casspi at the 4.
