Teams that should have drafted Prescott

Post#1 » by Celtsfan1980 » Fri Nov 18, 2016 4:38 pm

I'm not 100% convinced about him considering his running game has been elite and has greatly helped him out, but he is looking like the best quarterback from the draft thus far. Which teams miss him the most? The three that stand out:
Jets:drafting Hackenberg instead is the kind of decision that gets GM's fired.
Steelers:if you're going to reach for a player in the first round Prescott would have made more sense than Burns did.
Cardinals:after Palmer's performance late in the year they definitely should have looked at him.
Others(including some with older quarterbacks):
Texans
Browns
Bills
Chiefs
Chargers
Cowboys should have drafted him earlier
Giants
Eagles
Saints
Bears
Rams
49ers
Ravens

I'd say he was drafted by the correct team.

Yeah I seriously wonder how he would have been doing if he wasn't playing behind the best O line in football history and his HC is one of the best offensive minds in football and his RB is the best one from college.

Not to mention he has Witten and Dez Bryant at his disposal as well.

He was in the perfect situation. Props to him for not screwing it up though and making the most of it.

Does HC mean head Coach? If so, I'm LMFAO. It hasn't been too noticeable this year because the Cowboys have been doing so great, but get back to me when you see Garrett make winning half time adjustments. I can't even get into his lack of clock management skills.

The thing is that he wasn't a top prospect that inexplicably slipped a couple rounds below his projection.
The Jets would ruin him, so it doesn't matter that they didn't draft him
The Steelers and Cardinals both could have made a very shrewd move looking to the future while shoring up some needed depth behind a fragile starter, much like the Cowboys did.
Texans already overpaid for their loser QB, so they missed out.
Browns...see Jets though they should be drafting 2 QBs every year until something finally sticks
Bills just paid Taylor, so probably not.
Chiefs seem happy enough with Smith
Chargers...poor man's version of the Steelers and Cardinals situation.
Cowboys got him, so no way should they have drafted him sooner.
Giants. Eli is pretty damn durable even if he's old.
Eagles and Rams gave up the bank for their first round picks, so no.
Saints are setting themselves up to go back to being the Saints we grew up with once Brees retires.
Bears don't draft QBs and certainly not good ones.
Niners could have probably used him, but would have broken him.
Ravens have Flacco and he will be there for another few years and apart from the knee thing last year, he's super durable.

What about Miami or Jacksonville or Denver or Minnesota?

Jets:no idea why they'd ruin him.
Texans:you're better off stacking up in the most important position in football rather than settling for an unknown.
Browns:assuming they keep the pick, they draft Bosa, Cody Whitehair, and Prescott in the third round. Whitehair at Center helps the offensive line. No idea why they'd ruin him.
Bills:Taylor has never played a full season.
Chiefs:When I think of an average quarterback, I think of Alex Smith. Could use an upgrade.
Eagles:no problem with them trading up to 8(Wentz was still possible if San Fransisco passes up on him), but no way am I trading up for a mediocre quarterback prospect rather than trading down and acquiring an extra draft pick. Could be a Championship contender with Prescott.
Rams:Goff wasn't worth trading up for.
Miami:Tannehill slightly regressed last season, but he's still decent.
Jacksonville:Bortles was showing improvement. You expect more improvement the next season rather than regression.
Minnestoa:I recall Bridgewater was healthy when the draft happened. You don't expect the injury.
Denver:Lynch has hardly played, but one team you could possibly make an argument for.

Cowboys have Prescott.

Your team doesn't.

Local guy does a dead-on Jerrah impersonation. Talked yesterday of how no one has held a clipboard with more class and dignity than Romo.

I laughed.

The Musers are hilarious when they do fake Jerry. The way they portray Jerry's always has me rolling! The fake Spaulding is just as funny.

Does this diminish what Romo did a little bit then? Or will we not know until we see Dak without all of these tools at his disposal?

More folks should check that out. Gordo is an absolute genius.
