Raptor fan here wondering if pacers could use his defence. Carroll is a good okayer but an awful fit on the raptors. He has 2 yrs left and 30 mil left on his deal. I'm

Nope, but thank you for asking.

The Pacers already have a former Hawk player that the Hawks system made look like a great player.

Maybe a 3 team trade with toronto and the nets?
Nets get ellis
Pacers get carroll
Raptors get whatever you wanna give us.

Dude I don't know what you're talking about but Carroll is literally the perfect fit at SF next to Lowry/Derozan. he's a low usage player who can hit open 3's, keep the ball moving and move off-ball fairly well. On defence he can guard the opposing team's best wing and is a decent rebounder. He just looks like a bad fit because he hasn't played great yet as he's perpetually banged up.

I haven't really watched him play any since our playoff series last year. but I'm curious about what makes him a bad fit. Wasn't he really just brought in to play defense and then stand in the corner and not get in the way of the KL/DD show on offense?

Teague. We got another one?

I wasn't too serious though. Teague will be fine I think. Others are of greater concern.

Besides the current injury to PG, the biggest thing holding the Pacers back right now is they need time to gel. They added 6 new bodies to the team, and one of them a point guard. On top of all of that, they added a new coach with a brand new system. It will take a while for them to reach their peak level.

So, looking to add other players isn't going to fix anything. They need to grind it out for the next 15-20 games and let this process take care of it self, and then by the trade deadline or next off-season, they can make minor changes where they seem fit to improve the weak spots.

The Bulls have 9 new players and 3 new starters, but you don't see a pattern of disturbing signs with them. A couple of bad losses sure, but not multiple. Both their rotation PGs have to learn a new system as well.

At the end of the day it's all about having enough talent or not. Even PG still has ways to go as a leader of a team.
The new coach thing might be the only thing I buy. If Frank Vogel was still here, Joe Young would be styling our bench right now, like he has been styling his hair, clothes and body.A body full of tattoos, ugly haircut, clown clothes. Basketball talent is what I would like to see, not the talent for bad fashion styling.
