Would love to add another scorer/shooter to this bench. Something most other contenders have is a player(s) that can come in and provide a spark. With the Spurs its Mills and Ginobili. With the Clippers it's Jamal Crawford... Barbosa used to be that guy for the W's but no one has really stepped into that role. Mccaw is really more in the mold of an Iguodala type player. Good defense with the occasional 3 when he's wide open. Clark is a decent shooter but he's been pretty quiet outside of the Portland game. Maybe the better way to fill this need would be during the buyout season rather than trade...but it's something to keep an eye on.

Don't think Green is going to start for us, but he can contribute off the bench. He's a bouncy player and seems like he can pass and rebound.

How much better is he than Looney and Crapadoo? What do we give up to get him? Seems like a minimal, lateral move.

He's definitely better than those 2 guys. But is he even available right now?

Ian Clarke + 2nd rnd pick for Covington.
Let's add on Looney for Richaun Holmes; make it a package deal.

I ahven't watched much of Holmes, but I'm hearing good things as an undersized beef cake rebounder/shot blocker type. If he has a big motor, I'd be down. Not because I don't like Looney, in fact I really like Looney, but those hips worry me big time for his long term success.

Clarke/Looney/2nd for Covington/Holmes
His motor seems pretty good. He can't be that great, or else he'd likely get more minutes in Philly. OTOH, to me he just screams out "I'd be really useful on a good team." The link is to a preseason game. Obviously, a game that means nothing, and playing against some scrubs. Nevertheless, check out the defensive effort at about :53, and later at 1:50. Both times, picks up smaller faster ball-handlers, and covers them in the open court for several seconds, ending up with two blocked jump shots. Seems he'd fit pretty well in the scrambling switch-all defense.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

Seems pretty active and springy with pretty good lateral movement. A good energy and hustle guy.

John Henson is a nice player on a very reasonable contract(and only 25 years old). The Bucks have a logjam at the 5 but it looks like Greg Monroe will likely be the odd man out.

*knocks on wood
After we win the championship this year offseason trade:

New Orleans gets: Klay Thompson
Warriors gets: Omer Asik, Buddy Hield, 2017 1st, 2018 1st, 2019 1st

Pelicans finally get their second superstar and someone who can play on the perimeter for AD.

Warriors get a rim protector a growing SG in Buddy and three 1st round picks.

This trade idea is just for fun and conversation.

Apparently Nerlens Noel is asking to be traded. I know we probably don't have the pieces to get him but I just thought I'd share this news.

Here's the article I read. It looks like the rumor originates with Marc Stein of ESPN....http://nesn.com/2016/11/nba-trade-rumors-nerlens-noel-76ers/

FNQ, here's the relevant portion of the article from Marc Stein: “Nothing has changed here. Noel has yet to appear in a game this season after electing to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery last month, but word is he’d still prefer to be shipped to a new address with so many big men to battle for playing time in Philly,” Stein wrote Tuesday. “Count on the Sixers to accommodate him eventually.”

So...what about bringing Bogut back gang? what if Dallas wants to dump him at the trade deadline.....???

Not sure if it's possible cap wise and if we have enough contracts to ad up to Bogut...?

I think there is a rule that prevents the Warriors from having Bogut on the roster for the remainder of this season.

I think it's less that full season. however.. I DOUBT the Mavs eat his $ and GSW gets him at minimum. Meanwhile......McGee and Zaza are doing okay and Jones might emerge, West and Looney are okay. Bogut return THIS year? possible.. maybe. NOT LIKELY.
CENSORED... No comment.

He seems to be a magnet for injuries.

I love Bogut when healthy, but I think this ship has sailed. I don't think the front office was overwhelmingly happy with his tenor as a Warrior. This wouldn't be a trade, but I think the only way Bogut finds himself back in a Warriors' uni is signing a vet minimum contract as a free agent this summer.

I actually think Clark is doing a great job at replacing Barbosa, shooting over 50% from the field and 55% the past 10 games. He is understanding what Kerr wants from him off the bench and that is scoring. Barbosa's best season with us, he shot 47%.

Not that I wouldn't be open to a trade, but I would like to see if this current trend by Clark is real first. He has the ability to score and score a lot.

I only miss Barbosa's speed.

True. Clark has been playing very well so far this year. I still fear he would have a tough time against the bigger teams the Warriors play but he's the best option they have as a bench scorer for now. Anyways, I think the Warriors will probably keep their eyes on the players that get bought out in February. Who knows, there might be a vet the W's can get for free at that time that balances out the bench a little.

The Noel rumor won't die, as a few days ago CSNPhilly reported the Warriors, Blazers and Raptors are very interested in him. Since he has been out recovering from surgery, the 76ers are wanting him to get back on the court to hopefully increase his trade value. What I saw reported coming from the Warriors is a package led by Shaun Livingston. I still don't think the Warriors have the assets they are willing to trade, to get Noel.
