No way!
I wanna know what that guy who said that Ulis and Bender shouldn't get minutes yet in the Nuggets thread thinks about his game. I think it was beetlejuice or something?
Not calling him out cause I respect everyone's opinion and it's better to have diverse opinions to have good discussion on a forum. But I genuinely want to know what he thought of tonight's game.
Yeah that was me, and this game just shows why PJ is playing over Bender to me lol. He played a great game tonight outside of shooting the ball, he played really good defense, hustled hard, and was really active on the boards. Literally his only mistakes on the court tonight were missing jump shots. I would have liked Bender to play, especially with Warren getting pulled, but I'm not freaking out over it.
I never said they shouldn't get minutes either, I explained why PJ is getting minutes over Bender and why people shouldn't be freaking out that they aren't 12 games into the season.
He's just very inept offensively.
For example, I play park ball once or twice a week and one of my close friends comes with me and he's reallly, really good compared to everyone else there and usually just dominates. So whenever we go to the park, we always get the worst player, Andrew, on our team because my friend is so good. Andrew only comes because he's a guy that doesn't know how to play basketball (he's a soccer player but comes to play bball just for cardio and friends). He doesnt know how to defend without fouling (but ppl don't call it cause they know he's not a bball player) but he hustles a bunch and gets all the lose balls but nobody guards him on offense, they use his man to help and guard my friend that's really good. Because of that, the games are always close and it's usually like a 50/50 chance of either team winning cause everyone else is pretty decent.
But that guy Andrew reminds me of PJ Tucker. He's so bad offensively that it brings down Booker, Bledsoe and anyone else's offensive game down. Sure he hustles and brings energy that's cool but that doesn't make up for the fact that his man basically gets to play as a safety over the middle just being able to help off.
PJ Tucker is as much of a 3pt threat this season as like Len or Tyson Chandler is so that means the defense is just gonna sag in the paint.
Bender is better than him because Bender will make the defense pay if they don't guard him. Bender is also individually a better defender than Tucker is right now. Personally I think Bender is the best defender on the Suns team.
