Why did Bledsoe only play 13 minutes?

Strange rotations lately. **** is going on behind the scenes. Trades are coming.

Pretty sure he only played 13 minutes because we have a back to back and our bench was running up the score on the Pacers the entire 4th quarter so there was no need to play the starters.

Loved watching Ulis!!!!!!!! He's so smart. Also, Barbosa has been very good. Seems like he hasn't missed a beat. I didn't expect him to contribute this much, same goes for Dudley.

No way!

I wanna know what that guy who said that Ulis and Bender shouldn't get minutes yet in the Nuggets thread thinks about his game. I think it was beetlejuice or something?

Not calling him out cause I respect everyone's opinion and it's better to have diverse opinions to have good discussion on a forum. But I genuinely want to know what he thought of tonight's game.

Hey it is me. I mentioned about rookies not playing better than Tucker and we will see rookies more and more. I think my post "tone" was : "i am fine with our rookies playing time considering the team goal narrative at this point but soon we will see them more".

I still am fine with it. I would like to see Ulis more, but whose minutes to you take ? If we were playing a video game -> sit down mr. Knight it is Ulis time! In real life are we really gonna cut a 14 million dollar veteran Brandon Knight out of rotation 6-12 games in, to give his minutes to 34th pick who is below 6 feet and 150 pounds (this point applies only for narrative purposes around the league). In a video game i would, in real life i would not, if this situation lingers and Ulis keeps balling then we need to trade Knight and for that he needs to keep playing for obvious reasons.

Bender. Watson mentioned about Bender not playing up to Watsons standards in practice . Yesterday was a mean practice by all accounts and today Bender did not see the floor. Maybe he let Watson down a little bit yesterday. There could be a number of reasons. I bet we will see him a ton this season anyway.

Ulis did all the things a PG should do so well, it was fun to watch. Directed traffic, found open teammates off p&r when they helped to him and took the shot when he needed to. So refreshing.

It was sure exciting to see Ulis on the floor and get some extra burn on the court. Good W.

“The locker room was different,” Suns coach Earl Watson said. “It was focused. It was edgy.”

“We’ve been in the past where guys would sit down against us just because,” said Knight, who had 17 points in 22 minutes. “We take it as, ‘We’ll get this win anyway.’ We don’t know if that was the case or not, but that was something we used to motivate us. As a six-year guy, I’ve seen that plenty of times. So we just planted a little bug in the young guys’ ears, like, ‘This is why they’re doing it,’ even if that’s not the case just to find some motivation and get us to play harder.”

“I’m not the most athletic guy, but I’m going to use my intelligence and my size to my advantage,” Williams said after making 6 of 7 shots and getting eight of his rebounds on offense.

“Rebounding is a lot of heart and going after the offensive glass. I try to sit back when I’m not in the game and watch Tuck do it. So I’m like, ‘OK, I want to have my opportunity to go out there and get as many as I possibly can and extend the game for us.’"

“I was just pressuring the ball and making sure we keep the ball on the sideline and out of the middle, something Earl has been stressing,” Ulis said. “I was trying to keep the pace going.”

“We made the right play almost every play,” Tucker said. “The ball was flying around. The ball was moving so much.”

I think that Ulis is the perfect PG to play with Booker and Warren. He is a pest defensively and he is amazing settings teammates on offense. He is a way better passer than Bledsoe and/or Knight, it's not even close.

He can score and pass the ball at a same rate, with him on the court we are always going to have a good shot before the clock expires because he is so creative and crafty.

Hopefully we play him at least 10-12 minutes tonight, and every game of the season.
Warren probably out tonight, we will see.

3 days after saying "We have to find a way to get him more minutes and it has to happen now" about Dragan Bender coach Watson gives him another DNP. On a night where Chandler was out, Warren was sick, and Tucker went 3-12 and played 40 freakin' minutes.

WTF is it going to take?

Funnest game to watch as a Suns fan in quite a while. Cant knock playing Barbosa, Tucker, and Duds, they were all difference makers when on the floor, they all played great defense, moved the ball, Barbs and Duds hit almost every open shot, and Tucker was very disruptive and a beast on the glass, he and Allan played bully ball. This just in.... Ulis is good! The whole flow of the game with that unit in was such a breath of fresh air, I have never seen the ball move with such fluidity and end up in the right hands like that on such a regular basis for this team, it was like an ALL BRAIN TEAM!!

You know he's only going to play when someone is badly injured. Sadly, it's been our MO for too long.

For those of us who think Tyler Ulis is the best PG on the roster, some evidence:

He still made 2 great passes for Tucker who ended up as we could expect.
This guy is super legit

He's so damn smart. Controlled at all times and knows how to play chess.

A few of those passes required Jason Kidd-vision.

Compare that to Knight who can't complete any pass through traffic. LOL.

PJ Tucker to either break his leg or get another DUI (which means NBA hopefully suspends him for a long time taking him as an option for Watson).
