Whoa whoa whoa, I go to sleep hating on the Cowboys and wake up to smack talk on my beloved Utah Jazz?? I guess I would probably hate any team team that took my favorite team out of the playoffs four times in 10 years

First of all I am just having some fun with Jack, lol. Second of all, its been 20 years since I've been this excited. I believe I have posted a number of times Of how miserable I have been since 2002 and I really wasn't expecting to be this good till next season. I guess this is just icing on the cake if it all works out for us Cowboys this year. 3ird, come on guys, I've been here over two years now. Have you ever seen a poster so hard on his own team and trashed the hell out of them when they deserved it, when call upon? I've been extremely hard on my team for about 8 years now. I admit I am just as excited when they win, and just as disgusted when they lose and make horrible decisions as an organization. I'm also a bit spoiled from growing up as a Cowboy fan, all those Super Bowls and not one losing season in 20 years. These last 20 years have been incredibly hard on me. I didn't know what it was like to be mediocre for 2 decades. Not used to it and I hate not being relevant every year. I guess it could be worse, I could be a Browns, Texans, Egals, Dolphin or Jets fan I guess, lol.
When I posted that thread last week, I was just trying to live'n up the room. Its so quiet in here and we are right in the middle of the season. Anyways, I finally got the reactions I wanted from all my favorite posters, lol. I know you guys love me. And I love you guys to. You guys just hate the team I'm in love with. P.S. I hope Jwises Texans win a Super Bowl in the near future so he can finally have something to brag about. Wink, wink.

Ever since I was a kid I always wanted to see an all Texas Super Bowl. Houston has always had a hard time living up to their end of the bargain, lol.

Oh yea, I had to wait 39 years between Stanley Cups with my Bruins. Talk about frustrating. My cardinals I have to admit do very well even though this year turned out to be my worst nightmare with the Cubs winning. And yes, My Tar Heels do well, although we are a basketball school, we suck in football. And the Celtics have sucked since the Larry Bird era came to an end. But I have remained a Celtic since I was a little kid. Basketball was my favorite sport back then and I was a huge John Havlicek fan. As much as I love basketball, I can't stand the NBA and haven't for years.

God have I even talked about your cardinal fandom?!!! You root for my least favorite team in the MLB and the NFL...if you rooted for the Jazz I would swear you were made in a lab to piss me off haha

I don't really have a hockey team...kinda like the penguins because I was a steeler in youth football (really, that's how I came to decide that's my hockey team if I have to choose, but I only watch playoffs)....are the bruins their rivals? It would be fitting

Lol, No I'm a somewhat suffering Celtic fan that hasn't seen his team do crap for 30 years now. I just don't understand what the hell Danny Ainge is doing. Funny you should bring up the Cardinals. Always hated the Yawkees and Red Sox despite living here in deep Red Sox country and meeting Ted Williams when I was a little kid on a fly fishing trip with my grandfather. Bruins biggest rivals are the Montreal Canadians. My favorite all time sporting event to go watch even though I'm really not all that much a hockey fan. Winters are long and cold here in Maine. We are forced to be indoors most of this time and end up watching the Celtics and Bruins after football season is over. Most of the time we average 138 inches of snow every winter.

Oh bjj, never leave. I'm happy for you that your Cowboys are playing well. To be honest, I've really never had a problem with the Cowboys (well, aside from the whole Greg Hardy thing). I only get annoyed with the amount of media attention that the receive even when they sucked. But your boys are back at it and really fun to watch, so I'm cool with it. Doesn't mean that I won't make fun of them and laugh when they're eliminated in their first playoff game though

Yeah, it always been more entertaining when the media pokes fun at Jerry & "the dysfunction" that typically hovers around the team.

Its more fun to root for the underdog & due to their media coverage "Jerry's World, etc", they're hated because of it. I've never had a liking for Dallas in-particular. I guess its because I could never really understand some of the media circus surrounding the club. Growing up, the Hawks were never really in the conversation. We were always the underdog...Until recently .

Not weird at all. I took swimming lessons every summer when I was a kid and became a junior life guard by age 14. Plus after school got out for the summer, we moved to the lake house. Woke up every morning for a water ski ! What would summers be without the lake life? wish I was a kid again and go back and do it all over again.

Haha you wouldn't be close to the only one. Lots of people from the other parts of Texas which are mostly cowboys fans migrate to houston to work in the oil business. One of my good buddies that used to work with me is trying to find a job in houston because he doesn't want to go back to mission Texas and when he's here he stays on my couch since I'm already housing 3 other strays haha and he's a diehard cowboy fan

And he makes you look like a humble fan haha he's so arrogant



But I'm thinking I'm gonna move in with you! Today is the first day in weeks it's been below 75 (it's actually beautiful today but it's one of MAYBE 3 nice days this fall)...I wana move where it snows, plus I would get tons of work up there from snow storms!

I did go snowboarding about 5 years ago outside of slc and stayed in the city and it is nice...I went to a Jazz game and rooted really hard for the hornets (pelicans now obviously)

I would recommend Seattle or Vancouver if you have the chance. Vancouver & British Columbia is a great spot. Check out Whistler up there, if you haven't. Bend, Oregon is another great hangout spot.
