Does someone have Highlights of him from his first Games in the D-League? His Stat line looks good though

Great project we picked up, the kid looks like he is gliding when running the floor. Could turn into a major talent and become a real piece for us if we have to trade one of our current pieces like TJ for a star.

Does our dleague team have a strength and conditioning coach? Derrick needs to add 15-20 pounds to be an NBA sf. Luckily he's young and will fill out naturally as he gets a little older.
He won't be 20 until march, he's younger than josh Jackson.

Just watched all the vids of this dude - not sure if it's been said, but my god does he look like Stacey Augmon!!

Easy comparison to make cos they're rail thin lefties, but Augmon was a phenomenal athlete who had a long, solid career as a defensive wing. This guy has the physical tools, just needs to be coached into an NBA player.

UNLV fans noticed this similarity real quick his freshman year, good catch. Had he played under Tark, he would've likely ended up a lot like Stacey, because Tark (and Grgurich) would've worked on his defense....but DJJr has it in him to be a great defensive player, and he's deadly on the break.

One thing underrated about Jones is his ability to finish at the rim, even when he's not dunking. You see it in some of the highlights above....he just uses that athleticism to go up strong, and then contorts the body to find and opening and puts it in. He lead the Rebels in most of the advanced statistics....including win/share% Patrick McCaw (Golden State rookie) lead UNLV in all the other advanced stats...but Jones played off the bench most the year, and then when injuries piled up, he started. Once he started, he took over, especially late in the season.

My favorite part about Jones is he plays with a lot of intensity and has a little nasty to his game. He'll be fun to watch as he matures....I'm glad the Suns saw what I saw and signed him. He's a guy that will put butts in the seat just to see him dunk the ball 2 or 3 times a game.

The guy's best attribute is his high flying athleticism. Why would we want to weigh him down with another 20 pounds of anything?

So when he gets switched onto Lebron or Paul George he isn't a complete sieve on D. Even Harden has over 30 pounds on him.

He's 6'7" 190. Matrix was 215-225, dude is a twig and will get bull dozed if he ever gets taken into the post.
