we're probably not getting fultz. the guy is gonna put up huge numbers all season long because he handles the ball and his front court is ass.

Why won't we get him? We will most likely have one of the top 3 highest odds of getting him. If anything we probably have the best odds of anyone since Sacramento will improve our odds.

because i am pessimistic, and it might take getting the #1 pick to draft him.

It's early, and he could go anywhere in the top 3 or 4 at this point.

Smith has started slowly, but is going to be great at NC State, and Giles and Tatum haven't even played yet. Jackson could go number 1 too.

However, remember that we don't have to be really bad to get a really good pick. We just need us or the Kings to be bad, and thankfully the Kings are obliging so far.

Sac are bad, but not bad enough. Will probably be bottom 10, but closer to 10 than 1. I think Dallas is tanking.

Fultz has been so dominant, offensively, that it might not matter that he doesn't defend. Kind of like a healthy version of Kyrie at Duke.

That's not how statistics works.

I understand that if we are both bad that it increases the chances of us getting a top pick. I'm just saying that if we, by some miracle, start winning games and move to the 10th lottery position some how, that the Kings will still probably be in the top 6 or so.

The Kings are a mess! A complete mess. I see only downside risk with them wins wise. They aren't going to suddenly with 40 games. They may even trade Cousins this year.

We are worse than them, but they are bad enough on their own to give us a good shot at a top 3 pick.

Not yet but this isn't why I want at least 3-4 highly touted guards in case we are picking 5-8. I want Fultz but he's not going past 1. If we don't get the top pick I just want a guard who I think can be an all star player. Fox and Ball and Smith Jr should not all be gone before pick 6 right? I hope not. I just want all of them to be worthy of getting me excited if we miss out on Fultz. We need at least one of them.

I love him too.

He is super smart, super athletic, and super competitive. With those three things together he is bounds to be terrific.

I just picture him defending the perimeter, and getting out and running with Simmons.

His shot looks like a problem though. I think his shot will determine his ceiling. If he can improve his shot he could be a third star.

I'm just wondering if he can become a good shooter. I'm tired of players who can't shoot. We already have Ben Simmons. I don't want another one. If he can defend well that's good. I just am curious how much better he will get. He's 20 and older than most freshmen by a year. Shooting does seem to be his only serious flaw. He can create his own shot. He can defend. He has an attitude to want to dominate. I like him a lot. I am just hesitant on thinking he will become a good shooter.

I'm not necessarily saying he'd be a great fit for us. Just that we don't have the win the draft lottery to pick the best of the guards. Jackson could very easily be the unanimous #1 by the time the college basketball season is over.

I'm all-in for Jackson. Embiid being able to shoot 3's makes it possible to surround Jackson/Simmons with 3 capable shooters.
