Huh? He's scheduled to fight for Bellator against Dakota Cochrane in a couple weeks. http://www.sherdog.com/events/Bellator-167-Freire-vs-Campos-2-55715

Bellator has two of the three best fights of the weekend between Chandler-Henderson and MVP-Gonzalez, but there's not much depth there, although that's a pretty standard prelim slate for Bellator. I do think Piccolotti-Girtz is a sneaky good fight on the main card. Keri Melendez is just on there in her debut because of her last name, in which case they might as well give it to Baby Slice on the under-card. Bellator has screwed up priorities featuring Randy's son and crap like this.

I wish UFC would have combined those cards, especially coming after such a loaded event. That was bad planning. Even if you combined those 2 cards though they wouldn't meet the average standard for UFC. Mousasi should avenge the loss vs. Hall. Just has to avoid the mental lapse again, and preferably he'd take the fight to the ground to employ his superior top game.

No one's told Bellator he's skipped out on them? Or there's name confusion by shredog somewhere?

Or the UFC is just renting him for the Belfast card?

And seriously have they given up on the FW division and are just going to promote the TUF guys? Bagautinov and Horiguchi are both top 10 guys who could potentially be contenders again, and they are buried on the prelims on a poor fight pass only card.

There are two notable fighters by a similar name.

You may remember Razak Al-Hassan. He was a LHW who briefly fought for the UFC and got his arm broke by Robot Cantwell which prompted that shameful celebration. He actually moved to train with Roufusport so that's why my memory may be jogged better.

Then there's Abdul Razak Alhassan. He is a WW who has fought for Bellator and Legacy. Recently won their championship. One of the better prospects out there.

Adding to the confusion is this fight is at mw.

I think it's much likelier it's in reference to the WW, so either he didn't have a long-term contract, or it's a Rampage type situation and the UFC will have a fight on their hands.

Wow good thing I read this post, didn't realize FN 99 was so early. Mousassi has been on a role since his loss to Hall. I think he will get the win this time around but it will be exciting to watch cuz with Hall you just never know what will happen.

That Bellator card looks like it's gunna be some fun. Definitely watching that over FN 100

Its so stupid. People don't care about 125, 90% of non-Mouse 125ers get buried on the prelims. Chicken or the egg?

It's both but if there's a way out of it, it seems like it would be by promoting them. I mean that is the UFC's job after all but it seems like in a lot of cases the UFC would rather blame fighters for not promoting themselves than to do their job as a promoter.

Wonder why they went to the trouble of signing fighters with 3 pro fights to put on a card that has 13 fights.

IDK who you are referring to but usual those are the local guys to get a little bump in the gate.

Charlie Ward was 2-1 before losing today. And women's is thinner, but Amanda Bobby Cooper who was 1-2 (one of those already a UFC fight) fought Anna Elmose who was 3-1. Ok, appearently Amanda Bobby Cooper was on TUF. But that's some Bellator level prelims.

Happy that my boy Mousasi wins, great stoppage by Marc Goddard btw, despite what people have been saying. Before people gave him sh*t for a late stoppage, now it's too early, it's always hard for a MMA ref to be in the right it seems.

Not sure if Lobov really has improved or it was just a case of Ishihara being very sloppy.

It was very hard to score some of those fights as well. All in all a decent card for what it was worth, considering it didn't carry any name value.

The Brazilian card hasn't been as exciting but the retirement of The Anvil should not be forgotten.

Also, couldn't help but laugh at Usman calling out Maia after his win and Maia gave no f*cks and didn't even acknowledge it. LOL ... That was awesome.
