I don't think he's a starter playing for the Bucks if NY keeps winning with our top guys balling

Pretty much what you said in a nutshell.

They are not rooting for bad games from Melo so we can tank. They are just sincerely hoping for his failure as form of validation for their agenda.

You either die a hero or live long enough to be the villain.

They can dish it but can't take it when they are proven completely wrong.

I've complimented Melo every single time he has played well.

I've said repeatedly I prefer Melo to excel as a Knick though I would rather trade him if there is a good deal to be made.

Whatever your emotional problems may be, nobody should have to put up with your continual insults because they don't hold Melo in the same esteem as you.

It is the implicit right of posters here to hold whatever opinion they have as long as they don't make it personal.

You violate this principle a hundred times a week now. You've become a super troll.

When all you do all day long is spew hatred at other posters it is clear you lack the self-control or intelligence to make a distinction between having an opinion and personal attacks on other posters.

I have to ask the mods:

WHY IS THIS GUY BEING TOLERATED FOR TROLLING OTHER POSTERS INCESSANTLY?

That's this whole forum and country in a nut-shell...

People who think the team is better off w/o Melo can't wait to beat their chest when Melo has a bad day, Greenie celebrates when her University posterchild has a bad day, etc.

I did not get a chance to watch today, but I know how Melo plays, and I can guarantee that he had at least 2 missed lay up attempts where there was considerable contact where there was NO FOUL called. 3 fta's for a guy who shot 14 2-pointers.... That means either he was fouled 1 time from 3-range, 3 and-1s or most likely 1 2-shot foul and shot the tech ft. That's borderline insane. Melo averaged about 8 fta's per game in Denver. EIGHT. During the season he was traded, his FTA's dropped from 8.3 in Denver to 7.0 in New York. To me, this is pretty bothersome stuff.
IDK how I messed this up before, my post wound up in someone elses!

Willie isn't a PF though.

Right now, according to the board, the Knicks are best with Melo at the 4, KP at the 5, someone (Holiday) at the 3.

Knicks can't start Willie this year, if you believe that is the best lineup.

edit:

WillieB has a lot of offensive awareness and would be a very good C to play next to KP, IF you think two bigs can play in todays NBA. Also, would be a nice look post Melo.

Not sure KP/Willie/Melo is effective for the NBA right now, though I wish it was. I like them all.

Buzz wtf are you talking about? I'm on the all star game

Oh - was distracted again!

All star voting will be interesting. Howard coming back to the east makes things even more interesting.

Worst case scenario, Zinger and hopefully gomez feast at the rising star game.

SMAC-K wrote:It would be nice to see Anthony feed the post every once in a while. I know he made his shots today but man he just refuses to give up that ball even when a guy like Hernangomez has great post position he just refuses to feed it to him. I wish Melo would play more like he did under Fisher where he looked to pass the ball often and was feeding Lopez and looking for shooters. I also don't like those 1 on 3 attempts in the paint. He has KP wide open in the corner but he wants to get his in the paint, lucky for him the refs bailed him out this time. I know he we need his scoring and I'm not saying he shouldn't take advantage of his opportunities to score but sometimes he just forces it too much.

Our late game execution is still not where it should be. We still love keeping teams in the game because of bad execution and bad shot selection in crunch time.

Don't know what game you were watching.

Today is not the day for that kind of criticism, imo. Melo played within the offense, took smart shots, was a willing distributor and had a good balance of scoring and passing.

Melo does not have to be Lebron James to be a smart player. He is still the best scorer out there and when takes his shots in the rhythm and flow of the offense he does not have to sacrifice who he is as a player to help the team.

This was good Melo, he managed to score at a good percentage and still had 3 assists and made plays for others.

Bingo.

These are going to be the same idiots bashing KP when he's here all alone and can't win and no player comes here to save him. We do it all the time and it needs to stop.

We have two elite players. DEAL

I could already see it coming.

They're going to get their rebuild by 2019 the latest. Let's see if they're so gung-ho as KP is forced to do it solo and fails. We already know what's going to happen.

Can't change a tiger's stripes.

interesting how bringing even an average guard in Rose has led to Melo & Porzingis getting way easier shots. But give credit to KP as his percentages within 5 feet are way better than last year due to lower body strength.

Like I've said before, we got something good going on here with Melo & KP. KP is the best player Melo's ever played with
