One possession, five shots, zero points. Ladies and gentlemen your 2016 OKC thunder.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Morrow can't shoot 3's anymore. He's too nervous

OKC played terrible, but this was one that they could have stolen if not for the abysmal officiating. Oh well. That jump ball sequence was a doozy.

Ballgame. Down five with 90 seconds to go. This same Paul George-less team got blown out at home by the Suns. They're going to come into OKC and beat us two nights later. Unacceptable. Put another really bad loss in the L column.

This team sucks. We now have losses to the Drummond-less and Jackson-less Pistons (a blowout loss), the Paul George-less Pacers (in OKC), and a really, REALLY bad Magic team (in OKC).

Am I the only one who thinks that playing a team in a one-off situation without key players is not necessarily easier than if they had those players? I would love to see some data on this, but it seems like backup players always relish the opportunity to step up.

I'd be interested in this too, but it does seem to happen a fair amount, and not just to OKC. This still is a bad loss, but the Orlando and Detroit ones were worse to me. Detroit was missing 2 key players, and Orlando's just an awful team.

Shocked they got it to overtime to be honest. From the 2nd quarter on it just felt like one of those games because the Pacers seemed like they were getting every 50/50 ball & nobody from the Thunder could get any calls.

Not that they aren't bad losses. They should beat Indiana, Detroit and Orlando fully healthy, especially at home, but it's harder to gameplan against a team who is going to play a little different than you expect, and you have to guard players you're not quite sure how they play stylistically. Plus there is the natural "foot off the pedal" thinking the game will be easier without Paul George playing, and opposite is also true that the short-handed team will overcompensate and play a little harder. In a one game situation, it can be easy to get beat.

Again, I'd like to see data, but it seems to happen a lot to many teams.

What data? All it takes is team record without said player to show that.

Another loss that looked winnable going in. Roberson absolutely sucked tonight by the way.

And this season the Pacers have played two games without Paul George.

One was a blowout loss to a bad Suns team and the other was a road win over us.

Russ got 5 FTs in a game that went to overtime

He coincidentally also took 7 3s this game.

There were about 3-5 times alone in the final 2-3 minutes of regulation and OT where he got fouled if you go by some of the fouls they called on us when we were on defense.
