8 pts, 5 reb, 2 blk and a steal in 19 minutes. I think Prince will be really good. He was everywhere last night.

10 mins: 5 pts - 7 rebs - 1 block - 1 steal ....I'm starting to feel that with Simmons out, Embiid might avg 20+ppg this year if he gets the minutes.
Zero chance.
18.0 ppg in 22 mpg. Going to be pretty close once his minutes restriction is lifted.

He's being brought along slowly by Thibodeau; plus, right now, Ricky Rubio is better than him at running the offense and Thibs wants to see what he has in second-year man Tyus Jones, who was summer league MVP. Basically, it's a numbers crunch. He'll be fine. But in the year of Embiid, it's unlikely he makes a serious push for ROTY.

The game is too fast for him and he aint a real point guard.
Exact concerns I had prior to the draft are proving to be true.
Murray probably would ve been a better choice. He stinks too but at least you can hope for considerable improvement with him.

Willy Hernangomez putting up some nice games lately. He's starting to be serviceable to decent on defense which is what initially kept him off the court. Had some chippy plays against Dwight today too.

Already using double negatives. Looks like the NBA locker room rubbed off on him pretty well in a couple of months.

Just a massive drop off in talent after the 3rd pick. Dunn wasnt that good of a prospect, I think many people including myself thought best case scenario he was going to be a solid PG that was good defensively. He has 0 offensive game to speak of outside of 3 feet, that jumper is and always has been really bad and hes not a natural facilitator either. Dunn was a really athletic player even though compared to NBA PGs hes a good athlete but not good enough to just rely on that, plus he was 21-22 playing against a lot of players that were still in their teens. I think Dunn has a chance to end up as a solid starter but nothing more.
Here is another thing to remember about him, hes only 2 years younger than Kyrie, 6 months older than Schoeder, hell Giannis is in his 4th year and Giannis is a few months younger than him, same age as Elfrid Payton and Marcus Smart, hes 2 years older than Russell or Mudiay.
I think this was a 2 man draft, Brown was the wildcard with the really high ceiling but really low floor, then a solid pick with Bender and the rest of the guys especially in the lotto and top 10 were just talked up by talking heads and fans. Im sorry but no way guys like Murray and Hield should ever go top 10 in a draft. This was just a historically weak draft and it appears like that now and I think time will back that up.

I'd advise with rookie point guards to at least wait until January for some consistent play. NBA is just a different animal. The last rookie point guards to flat out look awesome were Lillard and Irving. What you're looking for is flashes of that potential during year one, like Kemba or Tony Parker.

Jamal Murray starting to figure things out and get hot... 18pts (16 in the 4th quarter) on 6/8 shooting and 3/4 from 3, 4 assists, no TOs. When he has confidence, he can flat out score. By no means am I saying Jamal will ever be as good, but his game reminds me a lot of Steph Curry.

What about D’Angelo Russell?, he has been pretty solid since he entered the league.

But if he can continue to progress and stay injure free before the end of the season, then maybe the ghost of prime Greg Oden will leave his body.
Ingram is definitely the best of the 2016 draft class however. He looks very comfortable out there running the offense. He has the definite ability to be a playmaker and has excellent passing skills. His defense is excellent and his length is going to bother a lot of elite wings in this league. I see him making some difficult shots...he's extremely talented and we're talking Durant/Jordan/Kobe/Lebron level talent.
Might be a while before he dominates. Luke has him on a short leash, especially when utilizing him in the system.
Posts like this are why other fanbases hate Lakers fans. Calm the freak down. No player should be compared to those guys in their rookie year.
Ya ok. Kobe was never compared to Jordan in his rookie year. Come on man, you can tell with Ingram that he is special and his talent level is simply off the charts. Lakers had a one on one tournament in practice and Ingram came out on top. Talent level doesn't really equate to having a goat career like Durant, Jordan, etc. but it is the foundation needed to be an all time great.
Everyone has compared this kid to Durant so I'm not sure what you are talking about.
People don't like laker fans because of all those banners and years of being the best team. Yes were spoiled but so what.
He is currently putting up Dante Exum rookie numbers. 6 points on 37/20 ain't Durant.

Especially if they are a pass-first type like Dunn.
