They have to be thinking long and hard about moving Brook at the deadline too. This is the draft to get back into, they need future capital lopez gives them nothing right now.

Longest streak of games (4) giving up 124+ points since 1992. They get a two-day rest before facing Boston.

The Problem With Jeremy Lin’s Hamstring
by Benny Nadeau | November 20, 2016

Understandably, supporters have become frustrated given the Nets’ early(ish) success with Lin running the offense, now forced to watch a rookie, a D-Leaguer, and a former D-Leaguer (and shooting guard) handle the role to middling results. Generally speaking, however, hamstring strains take about 3 to 8 weeks to recover from depending on severity, so the Nets’ original guess of 14 days now seems generous however you cut it.

No surprise there, it was only a matter of time before BKN imploded. If Brook goes down they'll be ****ed

Boston is now 2 games down from the 2nd seed in the East.
Brooklyn is now 1.5 games up from the worst record in the league.
Stop me if these are getting boring.
(We can do ourselves a favor by winning the next two, @MIN & @BRK.)

Brooklyn's tied with Sacramento for the 6th pick at the moment.
Sacramento are playing Toronto tonight, expecting them to pick up another loss.

Denver wins, Sacramento wins. Brooklyn now in sole possession of the 6th worst record
0.5 games up on the next three teams, 1.5 games up on the worst record in the league.

Remember when 76ers started 2013-14 with a couple of wins and this was a thing:

Nets might have done something similar. They won't be the worst team, but the schedule is getting tougher.

Down to the 4th worst Net Rating in the league. THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE. *prepares to ignore thread for 3 weeks after they beat us on Wednesday*

We steamrolled then by 20+ before the third string blew it and that was without KO and Smart. We SHOULD blow their doors off again, they play zero defense

The way to defend it isn't super complicated, just run him off the line and make him dribble and try to make a play starting from 30 feet out. Turnover waiting to happen.
The recent performance shouldn't surprise anyone. On the defensive end, this is one of the most talent-poor teams I've ever seen, and the one guy you can trust out there is as much a liability on offense as everybody else is on defense. Just take care of the ball and attack the paint. Even when you can get open outside shots, attack the paint and you'll either score, get fouled, or create even better outside shots.
I'll be in the house Wednesday, accepting nothing less than a Celtics blowout victory.

Horford ate his lunch last time and they benched him. The only way they win is if they shoot lights out beyond the arc and we get sloppy and turn the ball over. Celtics should blow this team out

The team already has a pick that will range between 15-22 (Boston Pick). Trading brook for a pick will range between that same realm. It doesn't make sense whatsoever to do that. It's very unlikely that they even consider trading him this way. Even if they trade him, it will be on draft night.

If you think our will sniff anywhere near 15 then prepare to be disappointed. 22 if you're lucky. I want nothing to do with Brook Lopez and I hope to goodness DA isn't stupid enough to bail out the nets by trading for him. But it makes no sense for them to hang onto him while they could be selling high on him now. That franchise is going nowhere until long after he's gone, might as well get value for him now

Lucky to get 22? That's the 8th best record in the NBA or 4th-5th seed in the east. Atlantic division is also not free with Toronto being their.
How is it pointless keeping him? he is only 28... He his a big man who thrive off of his skills. He should still be productive in the league for atleast 5-6 more years given that he doesn't get a career ending injury. I'm not even a fan of his game but there is nothing logical of trading him just get value.

Lucky to get 22. There is only logic in trading him, the nets are going nowhere and getting there fast. His value now is probably at it's all time highest, you aren't competing with him so what is he really giving you? The nets best bet is to warm up the tank for 2019 when they finally get their own pick back

The logic in keeping him is about building a culture which is the most important priority Sean Marks is doing. Even we do stink for the next 2 years. The team is no where close of letting him go even if the Nets start accumulating draft picks. He is still an asset to the team that brings productivity. He doesn't have to be a star player or even no where close to that. He could just be part of the team when they start accumulating talent towards the draft. The fact of the matter is there is no reason to trade him especially when we are already getting a midrange draft pick for next years draft.
Just a question where do you think you end up in the seeding by the end of the season?

You guys really dont think Brook would get more than a mid first rounder in a league where Kevin Love can get you Andrew Wiggins? In my opinion Brook is better than Love if he keeps hitting that 3. Underselling his value around here from what i can see.

Seeing as we picked 23rd last year with our own pick, anything less than that would be a disappointment
