Right now we are in the Fournette/Smith-Schuster neighborhood. They would fill the "home run hitter" need.

This season should teach TT not to touch anyone with injury flags.

Re: Packers 2017 NFL Draft Thread
LOL. Knew someone would start this.
Actually a fascinating question...Cook/Fournette or pass rusher/corner first round?
Knowing TT well probably go pass rusher/corner, then possibly sneaky good wide out 2nd round. I think we'll probably try and ride Lacy and draft (we better) a speed back late.
Fascinating mini-rebuild coming up.

Fournette & Cook are going to be studs. I would draft one of them to pair with Lacy next year. All of a sudden, your awful running attack from this year would be highly upgraded next year. I think that would solve a lot of the offensive issues too.

Meh on both of them. I think Fournette is overrated and USC receivers have so notoriously underperformed in the league that I wouldn't touch one with a ten foot poll. I mean, look at this list of USC WRs drafted in the 3rd round or higher in the last 15 years:
Nelson Agholor
Marqise Lee
Robert Woods
Damian Williams
Patrick Turner
Dwayne Jarrett
(The other) Steve Smith
Mike Williams
Keary Colbert
They all suck.

Re: Packers 2017 NFL Draft Thread
Corner or pass rusher in the first, if possible.
Pass rusher. Would be interesting to see if we go to a 4-3 rather than a 3-4. We have some of the personnel for a 4-3. Daniels would be a natural at that 3-tech, and Perry and Jones can both play the 4-3 end. Don't what you do with Fackrell and Elliott, and more importantly Clay.
Corner. Just looking at the number of concussions we know about, nobody would fault Shields for retiring. Without Shields, we have like 1 corner who's shown he can play at a high level, Randall. Gunter is ok, but he's a marginal starter at best. Rollins isn't a burner and seems to be very mistake-prone, keeps getting benched. Goodson hasn't looked good, plus that injury--hope he's ok. Hawkins isn't out there.

Re: Packers 2017 NFL Draft Thread
Really is going to be interesting. Already you can tell by the multiple opinions here. First time in a decade where we may draft high with so many possible needs.
I tend to think this may be a year where trading up like in the Raji/Matthews draft may be the way to go. (1 offense, 1 defense?) Hope we get two fairly impactful guys, then further hope our young players from this year can jump.
Although you could argue conversely that you need a decent amount of roster turnover, so a complete draft numbers wise is important too.

It will also be interesting to see if the RB'S slip this year. Maybe no longer a trend, after Ezekiels impact.

I believe right now we're tied for #7 with a few other teams. 5 of our remaining 6 games are against teams in the playoff hunt.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Other than watching some badger games i dont really follow college football so i dont know **** about these guys. But just looked at a mock and it seems like a good CB draft so thats good.
I like OJ Howard from Alabama too but looks like hes mocked in the 20s so maybe a small trade back if they went that route.
Hell other than oline or qb id be fine going any other position in the 1st round.

Yeah, Howard would be a reach that high. Maybe Butt in the 2nd.

Put me down for impact RB being a first or second round need. Can't rely on Lacy or Starks, I think Ty has found a nice niche as a 3rd down type back even though we use absolutely no creativity in his routes, I'll let the next coach worry about that.

I like OJ Howard a lot, too. I'd love to pair him with Cook and add a whole new dimension to this offense.
No, he's not a Top 10 kind of guy, but I'd gladly trade up into first again for him.

Re: Packers 2017 NFL Draft Thread
Dalvin Cook would be a dream. Fournette too. I think one of the two will be there if we're picking around #11.
For the Packers I'd probably rank them:
1 - Jonathan Allen
2 - Myles Garrett
3 - Jabrill Peppers
4 - Mike Williams
5 - Dalvin Cook
6 - Leonard Fournette
7 - Carl Lawson
8 - Corey Davis
10 - Malik McDowell
11 - Cordrea Tankersley
12- Tim Williams

If I'm reading the strength of schedule right, we would currently pick 7th since we've had the easiest SOS of teams with the same record as us.

I like Fournette and Mike Williams.
Jabrill Peppers intrigues me if we can hire a coach who knows how to use him.
