He is loved by all his teammates. You must've confused him with Dion Waiters :P

Or Durant

I'm going to say that Hassan will make at least 8 20 and 20's this season. Will that be an NBA record?

Well I guess in this case, where there is smoke, there is no fire.

I heard Waiters is difficult as well though, so not surprised.

Those rumblings stem from last year when we had Wade, Bosh, Spo, Deng, (& later JJ) trying to shove his ego down and get him to play the role they needed him to, if we had a chance to make the ECF.

From the outside (not having any connections) it looked like they didn't know whether to treat him like a rookie that needed whipping into shape, or like a vet that needed to know his place & fit in. The reality was probably somewhere in the middle, and I think we're seeing that this year with him being handled differently over the off-season and not having the mind-games being played.

Yeah that would make sense.

Last night Hassan showed his real potential. That was positive aggressivity, now a little more stamina and he averages 20 and 20. :-)

I dont see Duncan longevity in Hassan, more so Ben Wallace/Shaq/Dwight type.

Shaq played 19 seasons, until 38. Ben played 17 season, until 37. Dwight is playing his 13th season, aged 31. Duncan played 19 seasons, until 39.

Not seeing a massive difference in longevity there. If you're talking about how their games aged - Shaq and Ben fell off a cliff in their mid & early 30s respectively, while Duncan slowly and gently declined - I could agree with that. But really that was the part of Duncan that made him so great.

But TD was a PF anyway.

Hassans game is going to age well. He doesn't rely on athleticism and doesn't need the ball to be effective. He's long and has great instincts. I want to see a 20-17 season out of Hassan. I think he has it in him if Spo ups his minutes per game to 36.

Hassan per 36 is 20+/17+/~3 already and he is playing near 36 minutes, so I can see him sustaining those numbers.

For Hassan to get 36 mins he needs to improve his cardio and his fouling.

Agreed, although I think there has been steady improvement in both categories over the course of these last 3 seasons. His effort after halftime as been noticeably better from seasons past. And the numbers back it up.

I think he's great but he does need to work on his stamina.

Wish Hassan played with a great PG who could make him even better. CP3 could turn him into an MVP candidate.

Nah, I'm pretty sure that that's one of those stats that Wilt is WAY ahead of everyone else in. I imagine he had a ton of 20-20 games in his career.

Wilt averaged 50.4ppg/25.7reb/48.5 mins per game in a single season.

Missed the convo about Hassan's longevity. I can see a Mutombo type longevity for him if he keeps his conditioning up. He has the length and instincts to be a defensive anchor well into his 30s, even if he becomes an irrelevant offensive player.
