Hawks seem to be a good matchup for Knicks. Seems like that has been the case for a few years now for whatever reason. Not to mention Dwight seems to have a hard time with KP. Nonetheless a good win. Just not sure how much of it was the matchup or Knicks playing well though.

A lot of it is just effort. They came out flat in that Wiz game and got spanked. There is no reason this team can't be competitive in every game. The talent is there. The roster has some flaws but the talent is there and they should be in all of their games. It's not like how it has been in other years around here where knicks just didnt' have the talent. Last season for instance the knicks on paper 9 times out of 10 lost the backcourt matchup coming into the game.

Big thing is they had practice time.

We can do better than 8th seed imo. Let's see if they continue to show progress.

I think 6 seed is attainable. That means we probably face some whack team like the Hawks in the first round.

And they did have that meeting as well. Whatever was said and talked about seems to have helped. We will see what effect it has on them going forward.

As others have said... Howard is a big p**** and has become a cheap shot artist! Loved how he was complaining to the refs and Willy was just staring at him. Melo just pulled him (Willy) away. Willy may one day be known as the steal of the decade for the Knicks. Didn't the Knicks 'buy' this 2nd round pick from Philly?

I see no reason why this team can't be a 3 seed tbh... Nobody in the East besides the Cavs jumps out as having much more talent than the Knicks. Atlantas good but they are going to miss Teague when it matters most. He was their most consistent playoff performer.

Raptors are already slipping as Derozan predictably fell off Prime Michael Jordan scoring pace.

Kemba is going to come back down to earth at some point but he's still good. Still Batum floats in and out games. Nobody else on that roster scares me.

Melo and KP is better than any duo outside of Cleveland when playing at their best. That means a lot in the playoffs

Willy is already savvy and knows where to be. His D is not there yet at all but he shows signs. I think he can be a plus defender.

The jumper should eventually be true. Maybe not tons of range but who cares.

Didn't even realize that as of today, we are a playoff team. lol. Not bad considering the fact that in the past couple of years we were fighting uphill all season.

He’s one of the best in the league at one-on-one play. We have confidence in him when he gets the ball over there, even though guys tend to stand around

Knicks are one of those teams that are more well built for the playoffs than regular season. But yeah they gotta make the playoffs first.

Love when things like this come out. When the coach speaks on it then it means it was addressed and we should see the adjustments in our games going forward.

I'm not gonna disagree about a high seed like that but I'm not there yet. I still never lost hope that this is a playoff team. Games like yesterday show the potential of how good they can be. Whether it's consistently executed is another story. The East is not very deep after the Cavs. A 3 or 4 game winning streak and you can really climb up the standings. Baby steps tho.
