At least this was fun to read from Coro:Watson said there will be a greater opportunity for rookie point guard Tyler Ulis as the backup to Eric Bledsoe now that Knight is starting.
In the past two games, Ulis has 19 points, seven assists, eight steals and no turnovers in 36 minutes of play. He leads all NBA rookies with 1.9 steals per game this season.
“Who doesn’t cheer for Tyler Ulis?” Watson said. “If you don’t cheer for Tyler Ulis, you don’t believe in Santa Claus.”
“His impact on the game is beyond his years. He’s consistent when he touches the court. Coach (John) Wooden said it best: ‘You can only be the best version of you.’ And he’s figured that out early. He’s not trying to do anything he can’t do.”
I get excited if we are down by 15 or so with very little hope and we might get to see some rookie play since we likely won't win anyway. Then I realize PJ will get 35-40 minutes.
I have a feeling our offense and defense is going to be very ugly in the starting lineup tonight. Zero ball movement and a lot of hero ball...which, if they are hot, is the only way it works, but still not too fun to watch.
