KCP, delusional kids and the Pistons' culture

Post#1 » by In SVG We Trust » Tue Nov 22, 2016 12:23 am

When you let players who give everything on the court for one random specialist is when you start to ruin the values we're building as franchise. Every great team in NBA history got a KCP type of player. Another thing to note is KCP is a player who leads on the court by example, who never gives up and always stay competitive.

One of the funniest things about KCP %'s is he's always ready to assume shots nobody wants to take. He hasn't got the best shot selection, but there are so many missed shots who are in desperates situations and he's always there. If Dre had the KCP mentality, he would be a regular 22-18 with good defense.

Why are we letting go our best example of hard work and competitiveness? Sad thing is this forum is full of 2k players and delusional kids who think 20 millions is still a lot of money and there are a lot of All Stars wishing to live in Detroit, so we could sign the one we prefer.

For adults, real world is to know this team has obviously a low ceiling, because we're not tanking anymore (actually we never tanked, well at least), we're a team who is developing competitiveness and pride, and hopefully we could be the Grizzlies of the East. People here are always talking about make a champioship roster but that's truly delusional and I feel pretty bad for those guys who can't enjoy his team if not winning +60 games and getting the ring.

I think it's time to grow up and be honest with the context we're living. I mean, LeBron and the Warriors, yeah, what the f**k you're talking about guys? So let me tell you something: if you're not able to enjoy this team, even with all the s**t we've seen this past 10 years, you better turn to a Warriors fan and you'll be happy kids because your team can shoot threes and wins a lot of games.

I agree with OP. Every team in the NBA would love a KCP player on their team. This is why he is probably SVG's favorite player. He is going nowhere. KCP is gonna prove em all wrong!!!

I love KCP but I'm disgusted from almost everyone else on the team, coach included, except for Udrih, Leuer and Bullock. So where am I? In the delusional kids' circle?

Patience is a matture attribute. I understand the criticism right now but there are guys here talking about build a winning championship roster. That's delusional as f**k and to think we're getting something better than KCP for KCP's money is just the 2k player mentality.
