Nashty vs Magic - Get your votes in NOW!
Standings
How it works
Remember, if batsmasher or I are not here, and this isn't up within a few minutes after the game, anyone can start the thread
I will start with the voting.
+3 Len no question
+2 Bender - finally got some minutes after DNPs and showed great things with a 3 on his only shot from there, a couple of blocks and 4 boards in limited minutes....really impressive blocks...some great impressive passes, and running the floor...coast to coast with the ball was great despite missing the layup
+1 Chriss - I will give it to him over Tucker (who was close) because he hit his only 3, had a block and a steal, a nice finish, and despite his defensive problems, he did the things he is supposed to do for the most part.
HM - Tucker...50% from 3, shot well, rebounded, played fairly well; Ulis - ran offense well, but way too many turnovers and not great defensively.
Bled's stat line without examining it looks good, but just too tough with 33% shooting overall, 25% from 3, and a 5 assist/3 turnover night.

+3 Alex Len. Probably his best game of the season. He plays very good basketball against Vucevic who is a poor defender.
+2 MotherTucker. Good overall game from Tucker tonight , we need him with Warren out indefinitely.
+1 Eric Bledsoe. Not his best game by any means, but he made some crucial plays in the second half and played good defense.

+3 Alex Len - Our only reliable offense in the first; solid game overall
+2 Brandon Knight - Played within himself; focused on defense; maintained efficiency
+1 Dragan Bender - Unicorn sighting! Did a good job boxing out too

Honorable mention: Ulis (unimpressive stats but that first stretch with him in the lineup saved our night IMO)

+3 Len. He played a great overall game.
+2 Bledsoe. He closed out the game for us.
+1 Tucker. Good all around game from him. Needed those boards
-1 Ulis. 4tos is too high. If Knight had the same stat line people would be going wild.
-2 Chriss. Not that he deserves it, I just think he needs to be more aggressive on the boards and demand the ball more.
-3 Booker. His D is god awful. He's way more interested in scoring than D.
Sidenote: Would have liked to see Warren in a game like this. It'll be nice when Chandler gets back as well.

You don't need minus votes on wins...we only have Cactus votes on losses.

+3 Len. Is he FINALLY finding his stride? STill a bit too herky jerky at times but he's getting it done.
+2 Bledsoe. Came through at the end of the game. Didn't shoot well though
+1 Tucker - Powerful rebounding and shot well from the 3!
Honourable mention
Bender - Hit a 3, grabbed rebs and played some good D

It won't be counted but I think it's still cool to have a summary of your critiques whether it's a win or loss

Re: Nashty vs Magic - Get your votes in NOW!
+3 Alex Len: I feel like Len always plays well against Vucci Mane, but that's probably because Vuc is a terrible defender. Len's had a decent stretch of games, hopefully he can continue to be pretty efficient on offense and be more impactful on defense. If he wants to stick around here, he needs to consistently have games like this.
+2 PJ Tucker: If he doesn't play well, we probably won't win a single game without TJ out there, and we're lucky he did today. He's always put a lot of effort into rebounding and defense, but we need him to at least be a threat on open shots like today. Hopefully he's starting to finding his stroke again after a Summer of very little basketball for him.
+1 Earl Watson & the Rookies: Watson for getting the W, playing all of the rookies a reasonable amount of time, and letting them have their highs and lows through the game without taking them out. All of them played pretty solid games all-around, Ulis struggled with turnovers but he ran the offense well when he was in as usual, Bender played good defense and showed his versatility on offense, and Chriss was efficient on offense but still makes the mental errors and I'd like him to crash the boards harder.
Honorable Mention Eric Bledsoe: Not a great game statistically and his shot wasn't really falling most of the game, but he seems to come through for us in the 4th quarter this year and tonight was no exception.
I love Booker, but I'm getting a little tired of his lack of defensive ability, it feels like we give up big games to whoever he guards every game. Hopefully it's because he's not 100% yet from that toe issue he was having earlier in the year, I just don't want scoring to be the only thing he contribues on the court.

Agree with what darealjuice written. Except the +1 is for Watson only. Credit is due when he is able to play the rookies (and running set in the 2nd unit for corner three)

Re: Nashty vs Magic - Get your votes in NOW!
+3 for Len - Finally a stretch of games where he's been consistent. I'll say it again, when Chandler gets back I want Len to continue starting, he's earned it.
+2 for Dudley/Tucker - A good combo off the bench in this game. Both hit their open shots and played with energy.
+1 for Bender - He looks like a veteran on defense. I wish he'd get more plays ran for him. His three ball mechanics are perfect and I don't see why he isn't getting the opportunity to get more shots off.
