You all took this bait.. Minnesota has a ton of young players- Rubio, Dunn, Lavine, Shabazz, Payne, etc.

I could see us swinging a three-team deal with Amir to MIN, Rubio somewhere, assets to us.

But Wiggins is going to be a superstar, Towns already is. Saying Thibs is going to deal some of the roster youth for vets is stating the obvious. He might want Avery Bradley, sure, but IDK how to make a deal work around that without a third team.

I guess Minny could deal everybody EXCEPT Wiggins and Towns.

If MN wants Bradley, surely SAC would love to get Kris Dunn. However, Boston would have to send more than AB to MN...

For whom? I would do it for Towns, obviously, Wiggins, definitely... Lavine, probably, but that one is a bit tougher?

No doubt, just being funny.

I like Dunn and Wiggins, but I don't think there is a trade there. Maybe a 3-way.

As long as it ends in the Wolves outpacing Brooklyn and not creating another super tank competitor, this is all good news. Lol.

Here's a scenario for you:

Amir and Avery to Minnesota
Pekovic (sunk money), Brandon Rush (on 1-year deal, can be traded 12/15), Zach Lavine to Philadelphia
Nerlens Noel, Shabazz Muhammad to Boston

Can tinker with it- Okafor would work instead of Noel, season with draft picks. I think Philly actually wins the trade (Lavine for Noel), then Minnesota, then us. But it feels like the kind of "huh?" framework that emerges when a few teams want to get something done and have failed elsewhere.

Amir or Zeller + Young and some sort of draft pick for Tyson Chandler or Kenneth Faried. Get some rebounding and get some tough bigs for the love of God. Hell Ed Davis for Jonas Jerebko would be good enough for me..anything. There are trades out there to be made..make one!

Noel is the perfect fit for this team, no offensive rebounds for the opposing teams, block party guaranteed, no layup line anymore for opponents.

Okay. This scenario isn't horrible but I'm thinking Avery is a really big price to pay for Muhammad/Noel. Now if you told me that Zach and Noel were on the block I would be very interested in moving AB for that. Very interested.

The problem with the Celtics is becoming very clear and it's twofold.

1) The 2nd quarter up to the middle of the 3rd quarter is a death march for this team. Regardless of opponent. I've never seen anything like it from a good team. Almost like they lose focus.

2) Rotations are far too long. This actually falls mostly on Ainge. He resigned Zeller and Amir because of the finaincal implications of a trade. This year more than ever the Celtics need to make a trade. In a way the 2016 Draft might have been the best thing to happen to the team only because Zizic and the Dancing Bear can be cheap back of the rotation guys on a star heavy team.

They need to make one or two trades involving
2 out of the three consisting of JJ Amir and Zeller
1 of KO (contract coming up) Bradley Smart IT
Rozier might fall into the above as well. The team cannot afford all 5 of these players. Crowder ironically is going to be the most valuable piece of the organization going forward due to his contract and level of play.

I'll put something else here as well and it's more related to CBS than a possible move. At some point he will have to coach a perceived difficult player such as Cousins that Ainge brings in to help consolidate these assets. The Celtics are in reality probably a top 5-7 team when healthy in the NBA but rotations and lack of star power hold them back.

I could watch this all night! Can guard all 5 positions due to his quickness and lenght. THAT HELP DEFENSE is unreal :o! Playing with insane energy - complete opposite to our soft stiffs. Just perfect fit next to Horford.

Not to mention motivated as hell if he ever came to his hometown team. I'd be worried about him re-injuring himself he'd be playing so hard for the Green team.

I'd be more worried about him trashing his house.

Noel is a perfect fit, but what kind of deal they would accept for him ? He is free agent in 2017.

IT
Avery
Crowder
Horford
Noel

I love it.

I agree. With IT the only liability on defense. Back ups with Smart + amir + zizic + yabusele + brown = top defense in the league?

Curm, you've gotta remember, he trashed *someone else's* house. He was renting; owning a home might make him responsible.

Yeah I think that trade brings back too little for Avery, it's just a scenario I think is plausible. It could, with tweaks or additional teams, have positive cap implications for us.

I don't think Cousins is inevitable, and I think there's an element of organizational scapegoating of him for bigger problems. He's difficult, but he's not the reason they're losing. They're losing because of stupid draft choices, as recently as this summer. And a stupid coaching carousel, replacing Malone with Karl.

I'd be willing to trade Rozier and a pick for Noel. He'd be a perfect fit-- would be a 5 on offense, 4 on defense. His caphold could hurt, but our path to future contention is trading the BKN picks.

Rozier should be what Philly is looking for. He can rebound, shoot, defend and serve as a secondary ball handler to Simmons. He's young enough to grow with their core and has two cheap years left.

If Philly wants more, I'd tell em to pound sand, roll with what we have a preserve cap space.
