GT: Spurs vs. Celtics

Post#1 » by Nolan » Fri Nov 25, 2016 1:25 pm

When: 11:00 AM MT, Nov 25th 2016
Where: TD Garden, Boston MA

First off happy thanksgiving to all my American friends, hope you guys are enjoying your late thanksgiving

This is going to be an interesting one, these early games always are. The Celtics are a tough well rounded team and if we want to win this one dominating the paint will be the key to victory.

Go Spurs!!

We're hanging tough. This has been a game of runs.

A solid win. Kawhi still looks inconsistent to me, but he also looks like he's working to play through it, which is the best thing a guy can do and exactly what we'd expect of him.

Bertans is starting to find his feet. Great game from him and D Lee with 7 Offensive Boards

Bertans man, he can really contribute to this team and he has forced his way to minutes so quickly. Well done!

Simmons, I'm sure, is impressing Pop more now than his scoring flashes ever did. I said it the other day about how he is rounding out his game and we saw it again today. That (sweet btw) crossover would normally have been him trying to finish but he wisely and unselfishly passed it to Lee for the slam.

Kawhi is stuck sometimes in no man's land. Not knowing when to just take over and not knowing how he fits into the flow of the offense when his name isn't called. Hopefully the team works this out.

Aldridge is still a strange one for me. At times he bumps his way down low for strong finishes and other times he looks like Tiago Splitter out there. He is slow defending one on one, settles for too many jumpers, is often out muscled and out jumped for rebounds yet other times he looks like a star.

Manu again proving he should be retired - 20 mins 0-6 and 2 turnovers.
