Game 17: Pistons (7-9) vs. Clippers (14-2) - 7:30 PM EST

Post#1 » by whitehops » Fri Nov 25, 2016 2:23 am

last game was ugly against the clippers and the game was more or less over in the first half.

their defense hasn't been locking teams down quite as much lately, six of their last eight opponents have scored 100 or more. we played them during a stretch where they kept 7 straight opponents under 100 points, five of them under 90.

we could really use a win, we have a tough four-game stretch coming up on the road.

props to ducler for the graphic!

Going against the best teams without Reggie is tough. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's a superstar PG. Just a very good one, and far and away the best on the Pistons. Clippers haven't been quite as hot as they started the year.

I'm interested to see if Drummond gives additional indications that he is progressing as a professional basketball player and is taking marquee matchups seriously, as he did in the last game. I know he 'only' got 15 boards, but he also blocked out and helped his teammates collect more boards, played really solid defense, and played better team ball. Perhaps an eventual upside from Reggie being out will be Drummond better realizing his leadership and effort obligation to the team? The pressure is surely on as a "Max" player. It hasn't always been everything you might hope, but he has progressed every year?

Move the ball, get good shots, shoot better! Go Pistons!

CP3 is going to poop all over our PGs again. This probably isn't winnable without Reggie.

Win would be fantastic, but please Detroit do not let up yhe game like u did in Cleveland. We are tough team to beat in The Palace. But LA is like.. unbeatable if it comes to their road games in this season? Dre&DJ brick battle on FT line is another interesting thing to watch tonight lol. DEEETROOIT BASKETBAAALL!

So tell me again how some think KCP has low Bball IQ? His occasional bad shot selections =/= low IQ. He plays within the system 95% of the time, that's not someone with a low Bball IQ at all.
