GT: Chicago Bulls vs. L.A. Lakers - 11/30/2016 - 7:00 pm CT - CSN

Post#1 » by RedBulls23 » Sat Nov 26, 2016 4:34 am

PHILADELPHIA -- After a long, six-game road trip, the Chicago Bulls are heading home with a winning record and an infusion of confidence.

Jimmy Butler and Dwayne Wade had 26 points apiece to lead the Bulls to a 105-89 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night.

Taj Gibson added 12 points for the Bulls, who finished a six-game road trip with a 4-2 record. Butler rested for the entire fourth quarter of the blowout.

"On this trip, the way we performed, we started to understand we're a good team and can play with anyone in any building," Wade said. "It was a very successful trip and we finished it off right."

Chicago led from start to finish against the short-handed 76ers, who played without center Joel Embiid.

"I like the way we're playing," Butler said. "If we keep guarding, rebounding and doing what we're supposed to do, we're going to win a lot of games. Now we have to go home and win a couple more."

Ersan Ilyasova had 14 points to pace Philadelphia, which certainly could've used Embiid.

"You saw an NBA team that's good," Philadelphia coach Brett Brown said. "That's a good team, a really good team."

Decided to get this up super early since I have free time right now. Going to be busy the next few days, so wasn't sure when I would have a chance to get it done.

This will be the Lakers 3rd game in 4 nights and 6th game in 9 nights. The Bulls will be well rested. No excuses.

I think but not 100% sure that Russell might be out for this game for a week or two because of a knee injury.

How about that Larry Nance? I still wish Chicago had the balls to draft him instead of Portis.

I was at this game sitting next to a Lakers fan. He told me in the 4th quarter was when Kobe was gonna light it up and win the Lakers the game. I told him Butler would shut him down. Butler went ahead to shut him down and had one or two big buckets. At the end of the game he tells me that this Butler guy is special and will make a name for himself.

This shot and his defense on Melo convinced me he was going to be good. I just didn't think he could be THIS good

Message to Luke Walton: Nick Young cannot guard Jimmy Butler.

The more important test is against the Cavs. Can our defense and lack of threes hold up to the Cavs onslaught of threes?

Key match up is if Lopez can handle Thompson on the glass and whoever is guarding kevin love

I'm with you on that, those performances were really eye opening as to what Butler may become, though like you, I couldn't imagine he'd become what he is today.

As for the game, I'm hoping the Bulls continue their habit of jumping on teams they should beat early. Would like to see this one over by the third and our bench doing enough to keep a lead out of reach.

It's amazing when you look at fan predictions early on...no expectations. Now wins are becoming expected from this bunch. I'm loving this team so far.

This is a awesome break for the team. Jimmy def deserves it. Hopefully we get Doug back this game.
