The body shaming is irrelevant to her job duties. Talking about her butt is not my thing, but she is a really poor commentator and interviewer, has no personality and she has one of the worst broadcasting voices and deliveries I've ever heard. She is literally monotone and has no inflection. She has no talent for this whatsoever and it is no wonder Tina is brought up because she was competent.

That's why guys will keep talking about her. The butt comments have nothing to do with her incompetence. Some people are butt heads.

How Harlow got this job is completely mystifying. How she still has it even more so.

My main gripe is the body shaming. It just makes me cringe, and trust me, I'm no stranger to "locker room talk". I just think it's idiotic behavior to go on and on about this chick's ass. But even if Rebecca doesn't deserve the job... who cares as long as she's not in the front office or starting at point guard? I just don't get it. WHY CARE??

To me, it's just a perfect example of how uptight and critical we are as a fan base. And it's funny because uptight and critical is how I'm coming off to some of you just by pointing this out. But it just seems like a lot of people here are always looking for something or someone to criticize or attack, and I would love to know why.

Is it something in the water? Something in the pizza?

Truth is, I rock with you guys in a big way. I have a strong bond with this board. This is the only forum on the internet that I belong to. The Knicks are the only team in sports that I care about at all. Maybe I spend too much time trying to get my fellow Knicks fans to lighten up and stop being so damn hard to please. I do that because I do actually believe it will benefit the team in the long run, but maybe I'm wrong about that.

I don't disagree with you on the body talk personally, but seeing as how booty pics are not the norm now this is mild sauce compared to what it could be or once was. The times they are a-changin'.

as far as caring about who has the job, you should not expect anyone to not comment on her if she is in our faces each broadcast. I've commented on her looks too, but in the vein of her looking lifeless and like a ghoul. I called her undead last night. And that is because she is not animated or compelling besides looking like the unhealthiest broadcaster on television. I literally thought she was a crackhead the first time I saw her. Anemia for the win. So the comments are not going to stop because she really sucks. For some of us it is like nails on a chalkboard every time we are subjected to her coffin drawl.

You get all pent up and then unload, but it is pointless to do that. I have one consistent principle that will cause me to clash with someone which it this: you don't get to pretend your way of being a fan is superior to mine. It is real simple. I'm super consistent on this. I've argued with Sark and Rotten Apple on the same principle and they could not be more different. But I don't ever want to tell them not to have their viewpoints. I don't care! I just don't like people trying to dictate the terms of being a fan and using that to act superior. That's what you were doing, but I ain't angry, just telling ya

Holiday is a nice surprise too. His jumper is not great but his D is really good, and he cuts to the basket well. If he gets his shot % up, he can be a starter. Smart player.

He's shooting 44% from 3, and 44% from the field. With his lockdown d, what more could you want?

46% from 3 in the last 5 games too. :D

As for KOQ, I'm glad I never gave up on him like others. He's finally come around this season and I really enjoy that he's embracing the hustle guy role. He looks Oakley-lite out there with the midrange J and hustle. I just want him to mold his game 100% around Oakley and embrace that type of play.

His defense has been better, although I wish it would get a tad better. The blocks have been a nice surprise though.

That 44% does surprise me. Just seems like he's missing a lot of open ones of late, but I take it back.

Just one of those games in which you could see the potential of this team here. Melo playing some great all around basketball minus a few missed opportunities, Porzingis impacting the fourth quarter despite early foul trouble. Rose showing that he can still finish while leaving you breathless. I think Horny realizes that he has something with the bench unit now, just gotta pray that he doesn't mess that up once Lance comes back.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.

That 3rd quarter run was remarkable. I wish someone would post a YouTube video of the Knicks 18 point swimg (going from down 13 mid-3rd to up 5 heading into the 4th). That 18 point turnaround was full of nothing but team resilience.

On a side note Porzingis grew up mentally last night. Struggled with foul trouble during the 1st 3 quarters but transformed into a monster throughout the 4th quarter and overtime periods. It's as if he hit the switch and played with killer instinct. K.P went off and combined for 11 points, 3 rebounds and 2 blocks during the 4th and overtime. Showed the ability to overcome a bad first 3 quarters followed by impacting the rest of the way. Great sign.

so many people here literally claimed he had no place in the NBA

thats part of why i get so frustrated
this all or nothing attitude

KOQ wasn't killing it early, but then no one was to be honest

KOQ has passing skills that rival Noah, he's got an acceptable jumper and solid rebounding. He's a good man to man defender and help defender.

For his like $3mil a year he's a great player for us

Yes I agree, O'Quinn earned his $ but ppl don't like him for some reasons, these last few games every time I'm watching I only see good things from him, he don't fk things up, don't risk it and did his job/role completely fine.

As for Rose he's so volatile right now, he was bad from 1stQ through 3rdQ where he started making big plays and he came up big in 4thQ and OT but IMO, we gotta let him play, we needed a PG who can penetrated like him, commanded respect from his defender and bigs, he just need to learn to kick it out for his wide open teammates especially Melo and KP, I've seen him missed them quite often even though he made those layups but he needs to balance his game, upping his APG 1 more or 2 would be ideal.

I believe it's just that this is a place where a lot of ppl vent their frustrations, stresses from their real life, this is where ppl will laugh with their jokes or agreeing with their opinions.

I get your point but it's human nature, body shaming has been there forever, sometimes ppl don't really meant what they're saying and sometimes they do and it's true, when ppl tell me skinny I'm not offended by it because it's true.

you're totally right about Rose

hes gonna have to play himself back into rhythm
his athleticism is there though and thats major

Also to his credit he's not playing selfishly despite the contract year status
He's looking more for assists than points

thats major

its been some of his desicionmaking thats been a bit of a bummer
some of these bad idea passes

but Im ok with it and with him being aggressive
I think this team is just gonna get better and better

Yup Rose seems like a pretty hard to approached to guy but I'm happy to see him being friends with Melo which could open him up and effects his on-court performances.

That said, I don't want to say this but the more I see Rose getting faster and more athleticism of his come back the more I'm afraid for his injury :(

I pray he doesn't get one major injury ever again regardless of where he will be in the future, dude has been through a lot and luck better be on his side now.

It didn't cost us the game but why didn't Horny put in KOQ for Herny on that one defensive possession?

Since it's here in the PG thread -

Wasn't he kind of chased off because there was a fine line between what he was doing and promoting a non-affiliated site? I loved his stuff and the separate threads. For awhile, we had a compromise of doing separate PG video and commentary threads. Some videos would end up in the commentary, which is fine, but the video thread would be clean of debates and miscellaneous thoughts so users could easily find that content. I found that very helpful, especially when I missed games. A lot of stuff gets buried. Maybe 'remi (and others that do longer form game summaries) could go in that thread as well.

I would want to bring those back. Thoughts?
