Saturday night, they'll try to make it 3 in a row to improve to 6-9. However, they play the San Antonio Spurs, so it'll most likely be 5-10 with an end to the winning.
The Spurs are coming off a come from behind win at Boston. They are 9-0 on the road and they have re-tooled and unleashed more gems on to the league. Jonathon Simmons has emerged as a key bench reserve on the wing, they've brought in Davis Bertans over from Europe (was included in the George Hill for Leonard deal in 2011) and they've basically replaced Tim Duncan with Pau Gasol.
But the focus of their team is Kawhi Leonard who now has more career steals than fouls at this point
and looks poised to win his 3rd straight Defensive Player of the Year and perhaps even the league MVP. Lamarcus Aldridge is still at the top of his game.Will the Wizards bench lose the game? (Hint: Yes, they will. Spurs bench is way better)
BTW, I refuse to put Marcus Thornton or Jason Smith in these game threads. They have no business being on an NBA roster. I'd rather play the undrafted rookies.
