105-100 final. Not even mad about this L, but the fact that we're now 10-8 and fell to 6th in the east just makes me angrier at the loss to the Lakers last night.

I really hope that this is a sign of us righting the ship.

Next two games are must wins before going to Toronto.

Looking for silver linings:

Schröd Ranch

Dennis Schröder had a fantastic performance Monday: 24 points, six assists on 10-of-20 shooting and two steals. He consistently attacked Stephen Curry in ISOs and off cuts, creating penetration and making tough shots. It was a really good game from an uneven point guard finding his way as a first-time starter
Here

Schroder largely outplayed Stephen Curry, scoring 24 points and handing out six assists while routinely jetting past the MVP on drives into the paint.

No moral victories as Hawks continue to be battle-tested

There will be a film session after the Hawks’ latest loss. Count on it.

This one may well be more productive than any look back of the stretch of six defeats. The Hawks got as close as three points with under two minutes left but there were mistakes, turnovers and missed shots in the decisive stretch. Those breakdowns will be the focus of the coaching staff.

I have been (and will continue to be) hard on DS this season as he adjusts to his new role as starting PG on a veteran, playoff team.

But he had a pretty good game last night against the reigning MVP. Here are a few highlights:

You could argue whether this was Dennis Schröder’s best game of the season. He scored 24 points on 10-of-20 shooting while dishing out six assists.

What I liked about his performance was that most of the shots Dennis took were decently in rhythm with the offense. Dennis definitely took it to Steph Curry not only on the offensive end but defensively too...

Dennis had an all around good game last night on offense and defense. I'd take this output more often than not even with the 5 turnovers. Klay and Iggy had to be switched on him defensively, he took it to Curry on offense.

Agreed. With the limited scorers we feature on this team now, I'd be in favor of funneling most (all?) of the offense through our top 3 players at this point.

Let Dwight, Millsap and Dennis do the bulk of the scoring...hitting the three point shooters on the wing when defenses collapse to stop them.

NOTE: It makes no sense that Kent Bazemore is avg more FG attempts per game than Dwight Howard. Our big three should be carrying the offense. Bazemore should just be a defensive stalwart...similar to Bruce Bowen or Tony Allen.
