I think Miami has a very good chance of being a bottom 3 team good lord if we could get Josh Jackson

We could then use all that cap space we have on bringing in a 4

You could get away with Gay there as a settle but I think we would go after Blake first then Ibaka

Toss a solid deal Wade's way IMO just my gut he'll be back

Richardson/TJ
Wade/Richardson/TJ
Jackson/Winslow
Blake or Gay or Ibaka/Winslow
Hassan

Jackson is a generational talent would be extremely pleasing to have him here I don't know if we will be so lucky, but kinda feel like the NBA owes us one

I would like to see us move away from having a legit PG I think you sell somebody on Blake that way by moving him into a ball dominant role something he is very capable of but hasn't needed to do because of CP3

I am ok with everything but trading Whiteside. He is an anomaly. I would like to keep him.

I feel the same as well, and Whiteside is saying he will help with recruiting, so I'm not sure it's the best way to go. But if we did embrace the youth this would be a heck of a way to do it. If Riley pushed the button on a rebuild then I'd be 100% down for doing it his way.

We get a good player at all positions (but PF), and would be in perfect position to tank next year & keep that pick (top-7 protected). We would need to contend the following year, and sign some FAs so that we weren't handing over a good pick, but that would be the whole plan: 2-year tank and rebuild with new franchise players.

I understand but i dont want to tank next year. I would like to get the best rookies i can to augment Hassan, & whoever we get with our cap this summer. I just dont like those 2/3 year tank jobs. I want to compete already next year. Yeah im greedy.

Why are you guys talking about tanking next year. Do we have a draft pick next year?

C - Marques Bolden / Willis Reed
PF - FA / FA
SF - Justise Winslow / Josh Jackson
SG - Josh Jackson / Josh Richardson
PG - Lonzo Ball / Frank Jackson

All in on the youth movement?

The C position worries me here. if we are going to play extremes here then & go all in on the youth movement I would make a call to Indiana ASAP and flip Whiteside for Turner. He's special, is arguably just as good a rim protector as Hassan with a pick and pop game that already extends to the 3 point line. with Indiana in win mode for PG13 that could be a golden opportunity.

that trade along with a midseason Dragic trade takes our pick closer to top 2 range

Turner/Reed
PF/JJ
Winslow
Josh Jackson/
J Rich/draft pick

That doesnt even account what Dragic & TJ could net us. It puts us in a solid situation for the 2 year tank. But also is a legitimate core with 3 potential two way all stars. if you somehow land a whale in 2018 with all that cap space you definitely already compete in the East.

Turner
Cousins
Winslow
Josh Jackson
J Rich

Two of the deadliest pick & pop bigs so the paint isnt clogged. Top rim defender in Turner. Cousins likes to play PF and gets to thrive offensively. Two elite versatile wing defenders that can put the ball on the floor and create. and a true 3 & D guard in J Rich that can also hound 3 positions.

Pie in the sky scenarios might be my least favorite part about young teams. I'm interested in some of these tho fwiw

I think Bolden needs some work. He's not the most athletic or physical big yet. He'll need to grow a couple of inches so he's a true 7 footer and gain some muscle. He has the raw tools to be an elite rebounder and shot blocker just needs some polish. Offensively if he has good hands he'll be good around the basket.

On the contrary, i only want to tank this year, & would like another lotto pick to add to whoever we sign with out cap so we can instantly try to compete.

Next year is top-7 protected. So IMO Riley should aim to rebuild to a competitor status (making POs) next year, by adding a vet along with the pick we get (or flipping he pick for a star), or bottom out completely this year and next, add a bunch of young quality players (like he did in the early 2000s), and then finish the rebuild from there in 2018 FA - trade or signing.

Either way we need to add another legit piece in FA, so that we aren't giving Phx a top-10 pick in either 2018 or 2019.

I do have an issue with getting a couple of picks this year and then signing a FA with the expectation of being back in the PO - where will the patience and time to develop come from? Unless we get a top-3 pick & a generational talent there will be the desire to keep the rook on a shorter leash and unintentionally limit the development. Anyone who remembers KDs second year in the league will know how brutal the growing process can be on the win-loss standings, even with a generational talent (or 2) on board. Give our picks 2 years, aim to tank both years & swing big in 2018.

Top 7 ummm yeah do not think taking the chance is good. Plus next year may not be a good draft class.

Last night was probably the best night a tank heavy Heat could ask for.

Detroit got a win
Nets beat the Clips!!!
Bucks beat the Cavs!!!
Pels got a win
Magic beat the Spurs!!!

That moves us into a tie for 4th on a night where that wasn't a realistic possibility, with the teams hovering above us moving farther away as well.

I know most do not side with me that Bucks are playoffs contenders. And it's early but they 7th seed in the east just beating the Champs while having terrible point guard play. If they are in the same position come February, I think they will be highly interested in Dragic

I've been watching Isaac as well. Dude could either become a Durant/Ingram type or the second coming of Christian Wood.

Fultz jealous of Fox getting that triple double last night. Going for his own against TCU. He's a one man show.
