We need some size at the guard position too. How long Ainge will pretend it's not a problem?

The reason Danny Ainge accumulated all those first round picks especially the Nets pick, is to use it to try to acquire a star player if made available. To go away from that strategy would be wrong.

How many stars have been traded this season?

Yep, not easy to execute trades. Much harder for game-changing talent.

It's too early in the season to panic about anything.

I'm all on board the Boogie train even if it's never happening. Room for more passengers too.

That's the biggest weakest of this team. A Big who can rebound, and score in the low post.

Sounds like Greg Monroe to me.

Im riding the boogie hype IF we keep one of brown or 17BKN pick. I'd like to have that assurance that we develop our future homegrown star while contending a.k.a SAS style.

Ainge on the radio this morning saying he anticipates that trade talk will heat up mid-December.

TRANSLATION: WE ARE TRADING TYLER ZELLER

Seriously though, we all know Ainge doesn't shy away from bad characters (Rondo, Ricky Davis). And we all know that at the end of the day he values talent more than what his coach thinks (remember when Danny traded for Ricky Davis, and Jim O'Brien got upset because he lost good locker room guys in Eric Williams and Tony Battie, leading to his resignation?). Obviously, Brad Stevens is a greater coach than Obie ever was, but I'm beginning to think that Ainge just says "**** it. Let's roll the dice!" and deals for Cousins.

I just hope that he doesn't give up both Nets picks in a deal, because that's an overpayment. And if we do go down that road with Cousins, the least Ainge could do is get back Papagiannis or WCS in the deal.

Both picks are too much. I have little faith in Cousins re-signing in Sac town once his contract is up. They should be happy with 1 BKN pick and some some players. If they demand 2 picks, I say sit tight, roll the dice and try signing him outright when his contract is up to partner with the BKN pick draftees

Smart, Bradley, and Rozier are all great rebounders who play longer than they are. I don't think it's really a issue except when they use size against IT as a mismatch. Their backcourt just has to be more aggressive and play better defense. Smart is also not a SF but is forced to play as one.

If we are going to trade for Boogie, then we absolutely shouldn't wait until we can trade Zeller. Do it now and get it over with.

I'd love to be able to keep a BKN pick but it may take both picks AND Brown. Costs a lot to get a talent like that but I think if we can get Cousins without giving up ANY of our core you have to do it. I'm with ddb here: a starting lineup of IT-AB-Jae-Al-Cousins can absolutely compete with the Cavs now and in the future, considering their age. Cousins is instantly the 2nd best player in the east, IMO, and no eastern front court even TOUCHES Al-Boogie.

Then if we made it to the Finals we matchup well with GS. Great defenders to throw on Curry and Klay and no one on GS could shut down our front court. Obviously we'd have to deal with Durant, which will be a huge challenge, but I think a healthy Jae could do a admirable job. There's something to be said about everyone going small. Cleveland was able to bully GS in the paint last year in the Finals. GS has gotten worse in that regards so think about what Al and Boogie could do to them. He just fills our needs SO well, he's young, he's on a great contract, and he's by FAR the most talented player in the league that could be considered available. We'd be incredibly lucky to get a player of his caliber with any of the Net's picks.

Just my thoughts. I'd personally be thrilled to get Boogie if all it costs is picks. I know everyone wants to have their cake and eat it too, but we're most likely either building for now or for the future, and I don't think Danny gave Al that contract to build for 5+ years from now, because that's when we will even BEGIN to compete IF those BKN picks pan out. Not too mention that lineup with Cousins is still competing 5 years from now and beyond, this isn't a '3 year turned 5 year' Big 3 window we're talking about here.

I'm sorry, but I think the idea that Demarcus Cousins is gonna lead us past the Lebron/Love/Kyrie Cavs is just crazy. Probably a little homerism/green goggles in that assessment. We'd need at least another all star, probably a top 15 player (on top of Cousins) to compete with them. And if you give up every asset we have then good look getting that to happen. This is the best Love has played in Cleveland, and it's Kyrie's best season ever. Lebron is cruising to averaging a near triple double right now too. Cousins has never led a team anywhere near the Playoffs, let alone to championship contendership.

I would probably do it for one Nets pick (preferably 2018), but I'd still be hesitant with that. Both picks and Jaylen? You only make a move like that for a player who puts us all the way over the top.

One concern I do have with Horford/Cousins, if it were to happen is how it would affect the pace of the team. They are going to be slow. How well would they match up against Love/LeBron or Thompson/LeBron when they go small. How about Durant/Green? And how is Boogie going to act when he sits on the bench because he can't keep up with the smaller 4s/5s?
