I don't think any of Ibaka/Vuc/Fournier have a significantly higher gear they can shift into consistently, but I think they've got the capacity to continue growing as teammates with much stronger chemistry. By the end of the season they might have that kind of awareness that an Atlanta or Boston offense have.
Ive always maintained that teams need a scorer who can take over to go far in the playoffs, but if we've got elite defense on a nightly basis then we just need to ride the hot hand from night to night and we might surprise teams that way?
Our offense rides in the hands of those 3. They have been looking better as of recently but Ibaka has really gotten into season form from his early struggles. He's been our most consistent player recently. Vuc is getting back to his usual self too.
The Ibaka/Evan/Vuc trio will have the a good chunk of the scoring load most nights. It's those bench players and the AG/EP that need to find ways to get more points.
As far as Ibaka, I'm hoping we keep him but the way he is playing, he is drawing some interest. If we trade him, it's going to have to be for something that's assures a high pick and I don't see Boston parting with that BKN pick for Ibaka rental. I think we are going to keep him. RH has already said he wants him here long term. We just need a decent scoring SF that can play within Vogels defense. Hayward is my dream target but I really feel we should try and acquire Wilson Chandler. Great fit here too,
didnt we have a player very much like like Chandler? think his name was Tobias Harris. SF, can shoot the 3 but not great, good rebounder, not a great passer. 24 yrs old instead of 29. He didnt go over too well here after 2 seasons.
You can thank your boys Skiles and Martin for that one.
