Swarm went 0-14 from 3 in first half tonight, 2-22 for game, 9%, yikes. Goodwin's stroke is kinda ugly. have you guys seen him shoot?

silver lining Perry Ellis starting to recover from hernia surgery looked much more comfortable 17 & 10 tonight, obvious high BBIQ guy who might eventually fit with the parent club

Munford looked good in win vs Austin last night. Reason I keep touting Munford is unlike Sessions he looks comfortable shooting the 3. Perry Ellis looked good again too, 18 & 8.

Swarm had a couple injuries but still had a few DNP-CDs tonight in only playing 8 players. Goodwin seems to be settling in and Munford continues to impress, both outplayed Harrison and Wood, though they were just recently re-assigned. Goodwin, Harrison, and Wood have replaced Wilkins, Sulaimon, and Ellis as starters.

Aaron Harrison: 15 points (5-16 1-6 4-4) 1 rebound, 3 assists, 1 steal
Christian Wood: 6 (3-9 0-1 0-0) 7, 2, 2 blocks
Mike Tobey: 19 (8-11 0-2 3-4) 6, 0, 2 steals
Archie Goodwin: 21 (7-14 0-2 7-11) 5, 5
Xavier Munford: 23 (7-11 4-7 5-6) 6, 2

He's been pretty good in his games with the Baby Bees. Surely he's got to be getting close to getting some meaningful burn with the big boys?

0 turn overs.
Only 3 fouls.

And 12/21 from the floor along with 12/12 from the line.

Solid line.

I checked his D league stats yesterday and was underwhelmed, they were actually better for the 76ers team. Small sample size and all though, he's only played in 5 games for the Swarm.

42.3% FG (52.9% FG last season on similar volume), 12.5% 3PT (25.3% last season), 15.4 pts (17.3 last season). D boards are way up and blocks are up a bit.

Harrison had himself a ball game tonight. 34 points, 9-14 FG, 3-5 3PT, 13-13 FT, 6 boards, 4 assists, 1 stl, 1 blk

On the other end of the spectrum, Munford went 0-14 in 39 minutes. Had 8 assists, which looks good until you see that he had 6 TOs.

Wood only played 10 minutes, hope he wasn't hurt.

Anybody watched Chasson Randle? Just saw he nailed 9 3s for Westchester. All I have is the box scores to go by for him.

"Call-up" rankings by position: http://fansided.com/2016/12/29/nba-d-league-rankings-positions-call-up/

Features Munford and Tobey, and the latter gets a lazy Hawes comp.

The Swarm randomly had a day game and the second half is about to start. Link to watch if anyone is interested - https://www.facebook.com/nbadleague/videos/vb.55070120288/10154691386200289/?type=3&theater

I'm pretty excited about Christian Wood. He still needs to put on weight, but he is a nice combination of offensive competency and length. He's got 20 points, 12 boards, and 3 blocks in this game and it's only halfway through the 3rd. I would much rather see what he can become before we blow assets and cap space on someone like Henson.

Greensboro Swarm ‏@greensboroswarm 7m7 minutes ago
It is kind of unheard of but @Chriswood_5 is just four blocks away from a triple double.

27 points (11-16 FG, 1-3 3PT), 13 boards (3 O boards), 6 blocks in 30 minutes, still 6 to go in Q4.

RJ Hunter sighting for the LI Nets.

Wood has a sick first step with the ball in his hands. If he can make defenders respect his outside shot, he has the potential to be a very serious offensive weapon as a big. He can blow by bigs that pull out to contest his shot, and with his length and athleticism the dude can finish in the paint.

Apparently not much of a playmaker for his teammates though, just checked and he has a total of 12 assists in 14 games before today.

Holy **** guys Wood is unstoppable in this game. Dropping threes, splitting double teams off the dribble, finishing through contact, extremely impressive. He's got 36 points on 19 FGAs and hit a clutch three then followed it up with a three point play in the last few minutes of the game.

Don't ask how his defense looks though...

God damn, Wood has scored the Swarm's last 13 points and just got his 7th block. He's got a 40 point game.

Hadn't heard of this D league rule, but apparently the coach can choose to challenge a foul call, and the refs review on the monitor to confirm. Do not like that idea at all.
