I don't need to look at his stats. He played really good defense all night and made the correct play down the other end most of the night. He's going to miss some shots some games (he's not the only one that has done it. look at our players fg%'s this season), but I'm capable of analysing a game past just fgm/fga. He **** up the last play, but he should not carry the sole blame from this loss. That's just ludicrous. You'll notice I praised other players too.
Nobody carries sole blame. But when identifying issues.... 3 points in 29 minutes from Payton and betting on the Magic to win is not something anyone would put money down on. That's a losing bet.
I wish more of the Elf Defenders would be more realistic than bias.
Except we were up by 14 with under 5 minutes to play with those 3 points from Elfrid. Partly because of his play. I wish people would find a new whipping boy.
Except none of that matters. We took the L. We lost because we needed more from him. People are not dogging him for no reason. His inconsistencies and lack of significant improvement from his rookie year to now make him the deserving whipping boy.
