I do hope that everyone is mentally preparing themselves for any transition period that may exist for the team while Reggie is being worked back into the starting lineup though. Just understand the situation and don't go crazy if it's not seamless.
We should also realize that Reggie isn't going to play the game the same way that Ish does. Reggie is more of a scoring/PnR PG, but he is a very good NBA PG and getting him back into the starting lineup is the best thing for the Pistons long term. I also thought our best ball movement of the season last year was in the series vs Cleveland and Reggie was a big part of that.
Ish has played great lately, but remember that he had his own struggles as well this year. Ish will be a great change-of-pace PG with our second unit.

I already have a "Trade Reggie, he doesn't fit with our new core" thread drafted...

I'm just gonna assume you're being sarcastic lol

Anyone see the new quotes from Stanley today? Apparently he walked up to the reporters said "there's nothing wrong with my work ethic" then walked off the court. Something's going on with him. He and SVG are definitely clashing.

Just a bad situation we don't need right now.

i agree but what in the hell happened? Stan wont play stan. Stan tells media stan is lazy. Stan tells media im not lazy.

One of the two stans is lying.

See stan run. See stan get benched. See stan talk to media.

One to many stans for my taste.

I'm not one for overreacting, but if this keeps up I'd trade him and be done with it while he still has value.

Anybody remember back when Stanley said he liked being challenged to be better and coached hard?
lol... Yeah that seems like a DISTANT memory...

But what value is it? 2nd rounder? Maybe a fringe rotation guy at best?

I don't see him fetching anything usable at this point.

SVG also said this in the same interview...
“He’s definitely a part of our long-term plan. I think the guy has a chance to be really, really good."

“We need him to become a really good player. We have to do everything we can to get him there because he’s a huge part of any type of long-term success that we’re gonna have.”

Stanley is still 20 years old and has talent. His ceiling has not yet been established at all so I think you could still get something of value for him.

I'm not saying just trade him for the sake of trading him, but if he's gonna have a bad attitude and the situation starts becoming toxic then I'd prefer to just cut our losses and move on.

That quote about Stan seems a tad bit like damage control if I'm wearing my conspiracy cap.

If the word that gets out about our solemn but boisterous rookie has bad work ethic (something he's touted for) then that'll wreck whatever trade value he'll have. I think SVG said that to try and salvage some value for the long term.

Former scout I gather?

Ish has run hot and cold shooting, which I guess is typical. His ball handling, assists, and amazingly rebounds should be fairly reliable. Jackson played well with the starting unit last year. Let's see what SVG's plan actually looks like. The Pistons must be happy with where they are as Jackson returns.

RJ needs to get his teammates involved. He's not pushing the pace on either end and missing players running the floor
