Started today vs Iberostar Tenerife and posted a 13 pts (4/9 fg, 2/2 ft, 3 treys) 5 rebounds 5 asists and 1 block OR steal (can't really get it from the acb stats page) with 21 of valorization. Not bad at all.

1 block. TAP is block (tapón) with the F/C column I think being the same as BS/BA (blocked shots/blocks against). BR column is steal (balón robo). Also interesting they track dunks with the M (mate) column.

Yeah, good explanation. TAP F (tapones a Favor -> blocked shots) and TAP C (tapones en Contra -> blocks against).

It will be interesting to see Doncic play tonight against one of the best teams in Europe. Recently he has been getting lots of PT and mostly he has done quite well. Especially in ACB, he has the highest +/- of all the players in the league. His +/- is 124 in 10 games which is crazy. The most interesting thing is that when he is off the floor in ACB, Real is actually net -2. That just shows how valuable he is on both sides of the floor.

Had a bad game in the Euroleague this week.. but i guess he bounced back a bit vs Montakit Fuenlabrada: 23 points (8/10 FG, 2/4 from deep) 11 assists, 4 rebounds, 34 valorization

He broke some records too:
- Youngest player with a double - double (23p, 11a)
- Highest valorization by a minor (under 18 years old) (34; he equals Ricky Rubio now)
- Second highest points by a minor (23p)
- First player in Spanish league to have more then 20 points and 10 assists since 2006
- Youngest player ever to be MVP of week

Just what I was afraid... Marca reporting:

Madrid will do everything humanly possible to keep Luka Doncic in Madrid as long as possible, before going to the NBA.

Juan Carlos Sánchez, director of Real Madrid: "The longer Luka is with us, the better. He has a contract until 2021, but he will surely be in the Top 3 of the draft of 2018."

With a new contract (which they will offer when he is 18 years old) they want to keep him for another season or two after he's drafted.

If he goes in top 3 and with the money he would get in the NBA, I really don't see it how Madrid can keep him. Will they give him 3M€ per season? They won't. His agent just must keep his buyout clause down, and he will decide when he wants to go.
With the pace he is going, by 2018 he will be king of Europe and NBA will be the next logical step :)

Especially with the talks about higher rookie salaries with the next CBA it would be impossible to keep him if he ends up as a Top 3 pick.

This kid has ridiculous potential, I hope his dream is to play in the NBA as soon as possible.

Does anyone see NBA Superstar potential in him? He's kinda slow, not very athletic..big no nos for modern NBA.His euroleague stats arent anything to write home about.I mean it's impressive to do these things at this age but Rubio was a similar case.

He is as old as most High School juniors/seniors and is playing against grown ups. What kind of stats do you expect from him in the hardest competition after the NBA?

His stats are great all things considered. But I see where you coming from, he is very advanced for his age, might as well be the best 17 year old in a world, but that doesn't guarantee nothing. I hope he just keeps improving on both his skill, AND athleticism. He is 17 now, he should get stronger and maybe even faster if he doesn't add meaningless weight. I actually like Gordon Hayward comparison, but I hope he ends up better than that.

I love watching Doncic, he's so amazing. He's probably better than Ayton, Bamba or Porter right now but with that being said, it's all about his transition to the NBA level. That's where I've some concerns. He's not a bad athlete but I don't think there is much room for improvement. His arms are pretty short for his height imo. He has an incredible body and his legs look strong. For me, the biggest concern is probably his 1st step. But yeah, he's so good he'll be a Top 10 pick for sure.

Just finished watching the game. This guy is a killer, maybe just lucky, or maybe just that clutch, 2 huge threes to win the game. Very good all around game as well.

But he needs to work on his handle I think. He really likes that Euro, protect the ball with your bum, thing when he dribbles the ball down the court. Some people call it fundamentals, but its actually a sign of poor handle. Someone like Aaron Jackson for example (I am not even talking about NBA guards...), his dribble is so tight, he can protect the ball and cross over anybody with his face up. Doncic still needs to basically post it up if he wants to beet the pressure and bring the ball down the court.

I dont think he is that short in terms of length honestly, he is strong and well ahead of anybody his age in terms of maturity, that can always be tricky to judge in terms of a regular curve of improvement, but I think there is more hope with his case than lets say Rubio's.
