Don't look now, but Embiid is currently 19/68 in RPM among centers. He was 34/65 when RPM first came out. Okafor has regressed to 67/68 among centers, which is still a significant improvement over last year.

Re: General 76ers Thread
Would anyone here give Otto Porter a max contract?
Can he defend SG's or exclusively SF's?
I feel like he would fit well with Simmons/Embiid, he's young and growing as a player, and they can't afford to match a max offer to him.
If the Sixers are serious about playing Simmons at PG, that means they will need a player who can guard PG's and a player who can guard SG's on the floor with Simmons and Embiid. And then probably a stretch 4 out there too.

They are in a position where they would have to match. We would have to trade for him at this point. Noel/Henderson for Porter, Mahinmi, and their first top 5 protected for 2 years then unprotected. Gotta eat a bad deal but it's a nice return for Noel.

We have this fetish for these undersized PG (we value their penetration and quickness) that hurts our defense on opponents PGs.

I'd offer him a max. He's 7th in RPM for his position, improved every year in the league, is only 23, and is projected to be an All-Star by 538. The Wizards will probably match even though it locks them into their current roster.

There's no way WSH considers Mahinmi a bad deal, they just signed him. There's also very little chance the Sixers get that type of return for Noel. Which is (partly) why they should be trying to flip Okafor.

Just curious... do you mean we as in the team, or we as in the fans?

Mahinmi is probably neutral value. I'd have him as closer to an asset than a negative if anything. That deal isn't close to fair.
jonjames is a signature bet welcher.

Porter has more value than Noel right now. No chance they are throwing in a draft pick too.

Re: General 76ers Thread
Porter would be awesome for this team...we waited way too long to acquire him though. At some point WAS is going to have to move one of Wall, Beal, or Porter for a different piece that fits. I still think Beal is the most likely to be moved based on injury history, contract, talent, and fit. Something like Okafor/Henderson/Illyasova for Beal/Smith/McClellan would be ideal IMO.

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards

I would very happily max Porter.
I would happily offer the OKC pick to Washington to not match a S&T max offer. And I'm not feeling generous saying that.

We don't have an OKC pick, and I'm assuming that you didn't mean the Lakers or King picks, so what are you referring to?

Philly does have an OKC pick. They are the gift that keeps on giving.

Where did we get it? Do you mean a second rounder?
EDIT: oh duh! The one we just got for Grant. Forgot about that one because it is so far in the future and far more likely to turn into 2 second rounders.
Well sure, I'd be happy to trade that in a sign and trade for Porter.

Yea, I was screaming for us to trade for him last year. His price might be too high now and I'm not sure he's the type of player Colangelo would want to max. I'm thinking Embiid and Simmons will be, and he'll want to grab someone else that's a mid to high level star max player (someone like a McCollum). That's why I think we will most likely be trading Noel AND the Lakers first for something.
