If there isn't any hidden circumstance and Dmo is just not showing up that's incredibly stupid. Play the year out and ask for a trade if you really want to leave. This is tanking his value even more.

Only one bit of deception occurred: when you decided to trim my statement so you could drop your canned response, despite a report that was the source of it. But they are just a reliable news outlet, and you guys read twitter.
But no slant, no denial, right? Just like how this was a normal RFA situation.
Canned response? Twitter??? I think you are losing yourself here, or perhaps you have me confused with some other poster.
My initial question was in direct response to your assertion that D-Mo "seemed aggravated".
And no I did not necessarily require a direct quote per se, but at least something attributable to Motiejunas to support your comment that suggested as much.
You didn't write "I heard he was aggravated" or "I read where someone said he might be aggravated", you directlyattributed a state of aggravation to D-Mo so I asked you to support your own words and...well, we see how that worked out.
FNQ wrote: especially when reliable outlets are saying there is tension. And even with the DMo statement about being cool if matched, I'd still take the CBS report to heart,
You continue to repeat this but the only thing you have offered in the way of support is a rumor from an author who also said D-Mo had played his last game in a Rockets jersey and would be playing overseas shortly.
I don't believe conjecture about other conjecture about a rumor concerning what someone might be feeling qualifies as "reliable sources saying there is tension".
Again, if you have something solid to support your comments I would love to see it.
By the way,
FNQ wrote:And BTW, shout out to Marks who was criticized for this deal.. he made it harder for the Rockets to get a full max contract in the offseason
Interesting comment from someone who claimed to have "no dog in the fight."

Just 2 hours ago this Lithuanian reporter and Dmo's agent made it seem Dmo was ready to go back to Houston https://twitter.com/Urbodo?s=09
Wtf is going on. Just end this. Please.

Hard to get through that without laughing, but ok.

Still with the denial. That's ok. It just looks weird when you thought my comment was unsubstantiated, failed to read it, and then now that you have, its not good enough. It's also pretty strange that you can dissect half my comment and seem to want 110% literal accuracy, but cant read that the author said "At this point, it seems unlikely Motiejunas will play another game in a Rockets uniform. Expect the 7-foot forward to play overseas in the near future". Which is made 10000x funnier by way of it being the exact same word.
Interesting comment from someone who claimed to have "no dog in the fight."
Still want to feign objectivity?
It's interesting that I think Marks made a shrewd move, and shows that I'm not objective? lol
Clearly nothing productive will come from engaging with you, good luck here

Yeah, if the Rockets officially matched it then there's no good to come from this at all. He'd have to really, really not want to play with the Rockets to do this. Because after this, he'd only be allowed to go to a very select few international teams, as those teams usually will not sign players who have current NBA disputes.

I can't imagine DMO and Morey having a very good relationship at the moment. Traded him once already, didn't pay him and then matched when he had a chance to go start for another team and a new start.

Have to imagine NBA players are taking notes on what happens here. For both the Rockets and future RFA negotiations.

Re: Rockets match Nets offer for Donuts
The league probably won't want the Rockets to return Dmo to rfa. Sets a precedence of a player forcing his way out of a restricted situation and that's not good for small market teams trying to retain their guys.

I mean if a Small market team goes this far into the following season without making a deal with their players then that's on them anyways.

That's why I didn't comment on whether or not dmo was on good terms with the rockets...I hoped he was on good terms, but didn't know why he would be on good terms (heart says one thing, head says another)

Agreed, its a disaster if that happens for all involved. That's why DMo's power play here doesnt make sense, there's no upside. He's just watching the world burn.
I think this will take a Markieff Morris type turn where eventually the player will have to play in order to get out away from the team. Only problem now is that unlike Morris, DMo is barely a rotational player and has potentially alienated his teammates and coach by doing this. So getting on the court becomes a problem, but benching him and depleting his value doesnt help the situation either.
Other question: if DMo does get released back into RFA, do the Rockets absorb the deal? Can they stretch waive it? Or does it become voided?

BJ Armstrong is a clown. "we are fighting for our rights"
There are no rights to fight for. The terms of his last contract are set in stone and decided by a bargaining agreement. Houston is the party with the rights. You can see BJ never went to law school

Denial? I would ask you to elaborate but that didn't work out so well before.
I simply asked you to support your original comment and the only thing you offered was a link to someone elses conjecture.
To your credit you did seem to acknowledge it was all based on rumor...before going on to try to justify the conjecture thereafter.
That probably should have been the end of it.
Good day.

Ah in that case the solution seems obvious, at least from the Rockets' end. Void the deal and move on. They can play the 'blissful ignorance' card and claim to not have known how bad DMo wanted out, and then say the let him go. DMo will be mad and BJ Armstrong will be mad, but ultimately they just opened up a max capspace slot for next years FA and walk away with only a slight perceived PR hit.
Sucks for DMo though.
