Prime Giannis has arrived, may his reign last a dozen years.

I guess he had a pretty good summer after all.

That would make him a way better ISO player but between giannis posting someone up, or facing them and driving, Im taking the face up 99% of the time.

Why? Two points is two points.

Depends if you want to argue about his capabilities to make each shot. I think he would be limited on his touch and shooting percentage. I would rather take 2 points at a 60% , clip versus 2 points at a 50% clip. I just think he has a higher percentage attacking versus fading away. Won't disagree if you think he has the capability to be automatic with the turn around from a short distance.

Teams with multiple effective bigs will make it harder on him to make that kind of play consistently in a half-court set, which makes it even more imperative that he gets, and takes, jumpers when they sag off him.

I would use the next play as an example of him not needing the jumper. He learned not to force it and instead of losing control he swung it for a wide open three due to defenders collapsing on the attack. I take Mirza wide open three over a Giannis jumper.

The fact that he was able to kick it out on that one play isn't really instructive when discussing his development going forward. If he had a jumper, not only does that give him a tool in his arsenal that he currently doesn't have, but it would also make it harder to cover his drives to the basket because defenders wouldn't be able to sag off him as much. That would make him an immeasurably more effective offensive player, and he might have been able to take a higher-percentage shot at the rim rather than kick it out in a one point game.

That was a Lebron play. You should't be able to get that wide open of a shot against that team's end game D. He got a little predictable with the spin, true, but he used it to sucker them into thinking he was going back to the well again.

Shot didn't fall. When that's Khris, GG league.

No, I don't want him to abandon one shot for the other. It's just I see teams anticipating his spin move. It would be nice if he could counter the anticipation into a step-back or fade away. Just looking for him to diversify his portfolio. 8-)

Still a little erratic at times going to the rack, but I love that he seems to always be going 100MPH down the court.

It's weird that Kidd and Giannis could be a combo of LeBron and Dirk on the day I said he should add some Dirk. Maybe it's that obvious, though.
