Maybe. Don't forget he' s been working for a year on not jumping as high to preserve his legs for a long season ( Maybe he should just go back to his old form - the season is getting shorter and shorter).

So its more of a matter of the staff giving him as much time to heal as possible. No need to panic.

No panic here just frustration with lack of information. If the tweets that state he's ready to practice but coaches won't let him are true then it explains why they won't give out information.

I'm seeing more panic and frustration on this forum with LeVert, a rookie with NO NBA experience, not playing than Lin. Strange.

Even Lin is aware of us freaking out. The last thing we need is a long term injury with him. Look at Middleton in Milwaukee.

I haven't been paying attention. Have the Nets ever updated the type of injury Lin has?

Nope... just "Pull hamstring". The Nets never even mention what grade of pull hamstring injury Lin had. The coach usually said something like Jeremy is progressing well with the recovery the last few weeks.

So.. Anthony Puccio suspects Lin will be back "pretty soon"' from Paradise post above. I wonder how long is "pretty soon"? I'm kind of getting desperate with the way the Nets playing lately. I hope he meant days and not weeks. :x

Maybe he can take this time to change to shoot without jumping so high. More and more G/SG just shoot without jumping like the traditional jump shooters. That also give the shooters a split more second to get the shot off over the defenders.

I call him a fan because he's not objective in his Lin comments and goes over the top plenty. I've seen plenty of his tweets.

Basically a verbose fan. But definitely no inside info, just an obsession with Lin.

Nice, maybe his shooting form change just got better

I can see that his injury might be similar to Foye's. It didn't take too long to be able to play. However, the Nets are like, Lin has to play so many minutes doing everything for the team. He plays hard all the times and take so much contact. Moreover, we absolutely can't afford to have him re-injure himself. Gotta take it slowly. Therefore the supposed quick return but it's taking a little longer.

Lin did shooting practice like 3 weeks age. So still haven't practiced with team. It will be lucky if see him before Christmas.

Why are so many so impatient to see Lin play and seemingly distraught/disturbed? These injuries are no joke. It's not like the Nets or Lin have a crystal ball and know how fast such a fickle injury will heal or respond on a day-to-day basis to treatment/practice. The LAST thing we want to do is to put pressure on him to rush back or for the Nets to disclose a timetable and feel compelled to meet it.

After tonight the Nets don't play again until Sat. Maybe Lin can get in a practice before then. I'm not really expecting he'll play against the Spurs anyway (why bring him back on the road against one of the top teams?) but it would be great if he's fit enough to get a practice in.

Why do you even care if people are impatient? People are also impatitient with LeVert not playing. Does that also disturb you? It's inherently human for fans to be impatient, distraught or disturbed when their team loses 10 out their last 11 games. Deal with it.

I'm actually pretty okay right now, the losing is disappointing especially when we have games that are close, but it doesn't bother me really. I guess either I'm numb, or i just expect to have rough patches like this with this team. I think we'll have better stretches than this during the year especially with Lin back.
