monk is so dynamic. i think he is a top 10 talent. but i'm fighting myself because top 10 talent are projected to be starters in this league but there is a chance this guy could be an elite supersub instead.

monk is very intriguing to me because he looks like he has the skills to be a starting pg, but he doesn't have ball handling duties because of fox.

That's not true. Rarely do the Top 10 talents actually possess positional skillsets that allow themselves to project as starters.

The only guys in last year's top 10 that projected as starters were Ben Simmons, Kris Dunn, and Jakob Poeltl.

Brandon Ingram, Buddy Hield and Jamal Murray projected as backups due to their inability to defend.

Jaylen Brown and Marquesse Chriss were huge reaches that are likely to bust out of the league.

Dragan Bender and Thon Maker were unknowns.

Which is fine, you need major talent in your rotation to win in this league. But finding legit starters in any draft is pretty hard.

2015 Draft:

Projected as starters: Karl Anthony-Towns, D'Angelo Russell, Justise Winslow, Stanley Johnson

Porzingis, Okafor, Willie Cauley-Stein and Kaminsky projected as bench players due to their inability to rebound (and concerns about defense in Frank and Jahlil's case).

Hezonja and Mudiay were unknowns. Porzingis could have been considered an unknown too but most had a good idea his stroke and shotblocking were automatically going to translate.

Kentucky vs. Valpo right now on the SEC Network.

Fox had an impressive on-ball strip and several instances of impressive handle and shifty driving.

I like Fox's game, just not sold on him being a shooter, which is likely must with Simmons.

What are your thoughts on Luke Kennard? it's kind of intriguing to me, he is the lead scorer on Duke and I think he has looked good.

This is my first time watching Fultz live. I have seen highlights so I'm not shocked with what I'm about to say. Fultz is not explosive. Not a knock but something I notice.

There's no spacing on the floor for the huskies. defenses just collapse on fultz every time

Safe to say Gonazaga is a better basketball team than UW.

First half thoughts. Not impressed with Fultz at all. Seeing someone live is a lot different than highlights. And now with the way he plays I now see why some say Ball would be a better fit. I see it. I understand. I don't even care they are getting their doors blown off. Fultz hasn't impressed me. It could be one game and I just happened to watch his worst game. I definitely need to see more games from him now. I'm talking Ball over him as of today. I'm also taking Josh Jackson over him as of today. And Tatum seems like a decent fit.

Summary of his game against Gonazaga:

25 pts (10-26), 10 rebs, 1 ast

Fultz was 3-6 from 3, 2-12 from the rest of the team. He was also robbed of 2-3 assists because UW's bigs are stiffs. 2 of the team's 12 turnovers were from Fultz. He did struggle mightily under the arc (7-20), but at least part of that is due to the defense collapsing very quickly.

I agree. Very very skilled, but not an explosive athlete.

I haven''t been following college hoops yet this season... but glad to see so many PG & wing prospects. I'm sure you guys have been talking about Lonzo Ball. The shooting/playmaking combo might be a big compliment to Ben's game.

If the kid who did this video had used the phrase "age to excellence," I'd say he might be Kobblehead's son.

“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.

Lol. After watching that video I'm convinced that guy wants to have Ball's baby.
