I'm right there with you guys, the tic tac & toe of Ramon Sessions infamy.

The difference is those quotes were posted in 2014 when he could at least finish. 1/4 into this season he's shooting 37% and 20% from 3. Yikes.

We desperately need a backup PG who can shoot. One that could schwack the 3 would be a huge help.

Patrick Beverley would be awesome IMO.

would be awesome. Don't know how we pry him from HOU who seem to be firing on all cylinders w Beverley playing 30+ mins/game?

Xavier Munford had another 4/7 from 3 game. He's shooting 41% from 3 this season. He shot 39% from 3 for MEM last spring, so his shooting can translate to the NBA (9/23 limited sample.) He's 6'3. Good on ball defender too.

With Sessions' shooting woes, i would seriously consider waiving Roberts, sign Munford and give him some burn. I think there'd be some games where he'd go off, like Langston Galloway/NOP did to us, I think he'd actually be a pretty decent backup to Kemba.

Beverley had been out for some of the Rockets run, only returning recently - but I get your point. Sessions is on a much better contract Vs Beverley, id use that as leverage. I'd add to Sessions the option to swap 1st round picks with them as well and see if they had interest.

All that said, and as you and BoB have been pointing out all season, Munford really has earned the right to get a chance in the big league. Be awesome to give him an opportunity.

End of the day it's kinda funny that we have finally found a topic that the entire board is aligned with: Sessions, although a nice guy, isn't right for us.

I wonder if using Hawes as the primary backup 5 would help offset some of the spacing issues Ramon creates. Ramon/Hibbert (with MKG sometimes) really makes offense difficult for the 2nd unit. Hawes/Beli together might be pushing it defensively, but it really seems like the center position doesnt matter with our defensive scheme, so id be down to run with Session/Beli/Lamb/Frank/Hawes and try to out fire power opposing 2nd units. This is all assuming we dont trade for a replacement at backup PG/C.

Under the radar Sessions is playing at a tremendous level this season. He leads to team in assist to turnover ratio. Among qualified rotational PGs in the NBA only Chris Paul, Ish Smith, and Ricky Rubio have a better rate. That puts him in elite company in that category.

Pretty sure you're trolling, but this is actually accurate and worth mentioning. His low TOs were basically his only saving grace for a good portion of the season.

It was a bit bizarre when Jennings took him to the woodshed that one game though.

I mean Ramon has been tragic the last several games. Thank god Cliff finally benched him H2 v. PHI. Hopefully that's the beginning of something different for point guard 2 on this team. Ramon can quietly retire to a life in soft core porn or whatever he's got planned for his drive to the hole in retirement

I thought he was turning a corner but in his last 4 he's 7-24 from the floor with 6 assists and 4 TOs. Not good enough.

I hate his playing style.

Read on Twitter

I was hoping that we made the move for McCallum because Clifford finally **** realized Sessions sucked- not because he was hurt. But this would be the explanation...

Side note: I've somehow been recently blocked by Rick Bonnell despite the fact that I haven't tweeted anything in months, and I probably have never mouthed off on twitter about him.

...

Also, he was the only Hornets player this season to play every game- looks like that comes to an end, and after tomorrow night, Kemba and MKG will be tied with him for most games played by a Hornet this season, having only missed one apiece.

:D  I am almost positive another trade is coming before the deadline.....Reason we have 4 point guards as of today on the roster.
.........My guess is that its either for Wilson Chandler or Rondo..If Rondo then Sessions could be involved along with MKG with McDermontt coming back as a filler. If Chandler, then Sessions could be involved with another player like Marco.
Either way I think Sessions is gone.
